My 30 Day Dancebody Challenge

Since the summer, DanceBody has become my new fitness obsession. If you know me, you know that I’m passionate about fitness but I do need to be pushed to get there. I’m constantly on the go, attending events, traveling, and that kind of life, although amazing, can also be taxing. When I am doing something solely for myself, I’m able to keep going. That’s why I’m loving the DanceBody workout. It makes staying fit fun and exciting, and that’s important for not only my body but my mind as well. Dance workouts are a great way to look forward to a fitness routine. Everyone is at a different fitness level and that is okay! You don’t need to be a professional dancer to have an effective workout that includes good music and enough physical activity to make for a good workout.

What is DanceBody?

Firstly, if you’ve never heard of Dancebody, I’m glad you ended up here. It’s a game-changer. DanceBody combines dance cardio and sculpting bodywork to create a full-body conditioning workout that’s both functional and aesthetic. It’s not focused solely on building muscle or solely on cardio. Rather, instructors – who are also dancers, by the way – take you through a routine that combines the best of both worlds. It’s a workout routine that burns calories, tones, and keeps things fun from start to finish. And as we all know, if it’s not fun, you won’t stick with it. And I can say – I am not a dancer in any way shape or form, in fact I have two left feet, and I’m still able to keep up.

Moreover, there are on-demand classes on this digital fitness platform that include a live class schedule! I find that the best way to reach my fitness goals is to have a routine I look forward to. My 30 day challenge consisted of classes in-studio and online. These are just like studio classes, and make you feel as if you are right in class! I know everyone has a busy schedule, so the fact that these are available as online classes make it that much easier to complete. Sometimes I like to wear ankle weights to get in the perfect workout!


DanceBody was founded in 2013 by Katia Pryce on the principles of fun, effectiveness, and developing a community promoting fitness and fun. It began in New York City, but from there, it has branched out to Miami, Los Angeles, and The Hamptons. In 2016, the workout became available to anyone looking to have fun and get fit with its online platform launched, Dancebody LIVE. And guess what? The LIVE isn’t just marketing. Every online class is LIVE streamed, so you really are in a class with other women. This female-founded business is the best dance fitness program to work out your entire body. DanceBody classes are not only so much fun, but they are my favorite part of my morning routine!
