The new year is upon us and with that tends to come a lot of fitness and wellness goals. We’re all about bettering ourselves and what way to best do so than in a cute workout look? We’re revamping our exercise drawer and making room for some fresh, new styles that will help us achieve our goals this year. I love a good morning workout so I am tailoring a lot of the styles to comfort and ease when getting dressed. But we won’t have to worry about sacrificing style for exercise pieces. Here are all the pieces we are obsessed with for winter workouts!

Sets
Firstly, it’s so much easier to put a matching set on. Especially if you have an early morning workout or have a lot to do before your workout in the morning. Nothing beats a cute matching set. Especially because of the ease. You don’t even have to think about it, both pieces go right together and you not only look great, but will feel great! There are tons of options here to choose from. Whether you are interested in long sleeves, leggings, bike shorts or just doing a classic sports bra and legging set. I love how many options there are at so many stores these days. Knowing us, we tend to go for more pinks and pastels for the sets but there are actually quite a few pattens that are trending like plaid, florals and houndstooth which can be fun as well.
Weather Appropriate Pieces
Secondly, now that the weather has cooled down, not only is it harder to get out of bed in the cool air. But it can be harder to get up and get a workout in because it’s easier to just stay in warm clothes. There are quite a few options here that can fix that. The first is making sure you are wearing leggings if you have any in person classes. Running out the door in the cold weather requires proper attire. Some sort of pants will be ideal vs bike shorts for the season. Additionally, we are loving all the workout sweatshirts that are out. Opt for a hoodie, quarter zip, lightweight zip up, crew neck and so much more. These can go over a sports bra. If you have a long sleeve exercise shirt these are also a great added layer.
Fabric
Finally, the key to shopping in this category is making sure you are taking a look at the fabric and material of the pieces you are adding to your closet. For instance, sweat wicking material is great because you can wear it for longer workouts and not have to worry about sweating through it. And anything that can prevent chafing is great as well! Nothing stops fitness quicker than chafing and we all deal with it so finding the right materials can really help with that, for any runners or walkers. Overall, we want to make sure that we are wearing the right gear for the workouts that we are planning for ourselves. Which will totally look different for everyone.
