As you all know, my family and I purchased a home in Long Island I few years back. Our home is a mix of French Farmhouse meets English Countryside. I love to make our home a stylish reflection of who we are, and that’s just what we set out to do with my daughter Gemma’s room. It was long-overdue for a makeover, and because we knew Pottery Barn Teen and LoveShackFancy were collaborating, we knew exactly where we needed to go! There could not be a more perfect partnership for us to obsess over!

The Collab
We’ve been fans of LoveShackFancy and Pottery Barn Teen for a long time, so when my daughter came to me saying she wanted to redo her room, I knew the collaboration between two of our favorite brands was for us. Gemma has a style that’s very similar to mine. She loves being girly, but it doesn’t have to be pink. She likes a feminine look that’s girly but not TOO girly. The great thing about Pottery Barn and LoveShackFancy is that individually, they have so many options to suit all kinds of styles, but together, it becomes a treasure trove of styles that will literally cater to anyone. Additional details include bows and gold accents, which are all the rage on social media! The vintage looking floral and bow pieces are absolutely classic.
Choosing Pieces
Moreover, my daughter took the lead, and with just a bit of guidance from me (not much at all), she began creating her new room. She chose a standing mirror with a white frame and a lovely bow filigree at the top and a couple of smaller wall mirrors with the same bow theme. Then, we matched her bedding to that. It’s a stunninng blue and white floral print that’s classic and welcoming. She picked out a super cute bow sash to go over the headboard. We also replaced her chandelier with a bow variation to match the mirror and bow accent above her headboard. It’s a really pretty white piece with bow accents at the bulbs to create a whimsical feel that’s fun but not over the top.
Upgrades
Finally, we upgraded her room with a beautiful vanity featuring three mirrors for easy makeup application and final look touches. It came with a delicate Camilla vanity stool to complete the look. Her entire room is exquisite, with an understated teen joy and whimsy vibe. I already knew Gemma had great style, but the teen bedroom makeover she created just blew me out of the water.
I have to say, the collaboration between Pottery Barn Teen and LoveShackFancy made it so easy to choose exactly the look that was right for her. She was so decisive, and everything this collaboration has to offer just clicked. If your son or daughter wants a teen bedroom makeover, I can’t recommend Pottery Barn Teen and LoveShackFancy more highly. Watching my daughter craft the look of her room was a joy, and these companies made it so easy!
