Teen and Tween Fashion for the New School Year

It’s a brand new school year and back to school shopping is in full swing. We’ve been shopping the latest trends for school clothes while also paying attention to dress codes. I have two kids in high school, which I can’t believe! Each kid has unique style and they love to express themselves through fashion and personal style. We’re getting shopping done and making sure to grab options that will work for everyday wear for the school season. Here is everything the kids have been loving for the first day of school and beyond.

Basics

Firstly, we’ve got to start with the basics. These are pieces that go with every outfit and can be easily made into different looks throughout the entire year. A basic tee and baggy jeans do a great job at being great bases to start any look with. Moreover, they make it so the kids have pieces they can also dress up if they need to.

Outfit choices are made simpler when the kids have well fitting essentials they can rely on. High-waisted jeans, wide leg comfy pants and denim jackets are other examples of basics that are perfect for any school looks.

Sets

Secondly, sets are the easiest way for the kids to pull an outfit together. They are an outfit already! Typically, these are comfy options so it’s great for when they have to sit in school all day. What’s even better is that they are so cute these days. Matching sets have really been stepped up in style in the last year and my girls especially love a good set they can feel confident and comfortable in all day long. I don’t know about you, but some mornings feel impossible to get out the door with all the lunches and homework without forgetting anything. So having one thing checked off the list with a go to look the kids can just grab and go in makes everything better.

These are great at inclusive sizing and teen girls don’t have to sacrifice style for comfort here. You don’t have to opt for name brands, either because there are just so many adorable sets at tons of different stores these days. I just want to know if they come in adult sizes because I am obsessed with being comfy while still having a cute look! And matching sets nail that look perfectly.

New Things

Finally, it’s always fun for the kids to get a few new things that are on the trendier side. I think steering from crop tops and tank tops for dress code is something we should consider with trends. But there are some really cute bubble skirts, flare leggings and trendy tops that are still fashionable and on trend.

Warmer days are almost behind us so we are taking the time to get more fall and winter focused trendy items but nevertheless, the girls are really looking forward to finding a few new pieces they are excited to wear all year long.
