Sunday Styles: Air Force I Style

I originally started my blog after leaving my career in the fashion industry, following the birth of my baby boy. Seven years ago, there was a  lack of trendy and stylish clothing for boys, so I set out on a mission to find things for him that didn’t consist of the traditional baby blue and starting writing those places down here. It’s amazing how times have changed, because now you can find an abundance of fashionable pieces for boys; so much so, that it’s become difficult to decide amongst the wide assortment of available styles. For this edition of Sunday Styles, I am so excited to share two of our new favorite brands; Alpha Industries and Palladium Shoes.

Introduced by the mid-1950s, the MA-1 became the flight jacket of U.S. Air Force and Navy pilots and ground crew. Alpha Industries‘ first government contract for the MA-1 was awarded in 1963, and started producing the flight jacket for the civilian population in the 1970s. The jacket has evolved over the years, but it is still one of their top sellers, and they offer many variations of this classic style.

Alpha’s boys MA-1 jacket is warm, durable and has four additional pockets both inside and outside plus a knit collar, cuffs and waistband for warmth. The genuine patches and sage green color is paired with an orange lining for pint-sized authenticity.

As if the super cool Alpha Air Force Jacket wasn’t fashionable enough, I recently discovered these Palladium Boots. Palladium, a brand with a story stemming from the 1960’s, re-launched in 2009, with an urban explorer and modernized construction technique boot. Ryder is wearing the Baggy Leather Zipper II, a style that offers multiple looks, by having the collar worn up or down. Features like the premium leather, a side zipper for easy on and off, and thick rubber soles provide maximum comfort. The Baggy Leather Zipper II also comes in an assortment of colors.
