Quarantine Resources Edition 3

Well it’s been over a month of quarantine and everyone in our home is doing good considering. Jason and I are tag teaming the kids schedules and household duties. I know becoming our children’s teachers and educators hasn’t been easy, especially with many of us still juggling our work schedules. But many companies are reformatting their services to help families with online resources. I had previous shared a list of resources our first week of quarantine and again on our second week , but as new classes and activities are popping up I want to keep sharing with you all! I hope this list can help your family have a little structure and some fun too! Stay safe!

Museum Resources

Virtual Tour Of Museums – Many museums are offering virtual tours, art project, and classes for children across the country to visit. Museums include

-Science seminars at  American Museum of Natural History

-Virtual Tour with Intrepid Sea, Air, & Space Museum,

-Glass makers turn submitted drawings into glass wear at Corning Museum Of Glass

-Partake in a scavenger hunt or create an at home art project at  Minneapolis Institute Of Art

-Get an understanding of contemporary art or drawing exercises at Museo Jumex of Mexico City.

-Print 12  art projects from NYC’s  Museum Of Modern Art

-Dye your own dino eggs or help collect data on the butterfly migration with The Natural History Museum Of Los Angeles

-Check out the daily workshops at Qatars Childrens Museum

Church Street School Of Music And Art

Church street School Of Music And Art is offering many online classes for children of all ages! Classes include live songs and stories, hip-hop and yoga, private song writing, creative art clubs, and more! Check out their website for all the details!

Craft Studio

Craft Studio, one of our favorite local children spaces is offering online craft classes! Classes are 40 minutes long and involve everyday craft materials you have at home. They have classes for toddlers and tweens! Contact this email to learn more.

Gyminny Kids

Enjoy FREE virtual gymnastic classes with Gyminny Kids. Children will learn everything from handstands, cartwheels, to proper stretching and even breakdancing. This is a great option to get your kids burning some energy! 

Capezio Instagram Live Dance Classes

Get your kids moving with Capezio dance. Well known for all things dance uniform, they have turned to their instagram account to provide dance lessons throughout the week. Ive Attached this weeks schedule below.

Yoga with Yoga Sprites

Yoga Sprites aligns sessions by age and grade to reach children at each milestone developmentally. Classes are available now online for kids preschool and up, as well as adults!

Explore The Bronx Zoo

The Bronx Zoo is offering live cams to their animal exhibits! Check out what the sea lions, lemurs, penguins, and more are up to! Go for a virtual tour! Or sign up for the wildlife school! Our family loves watching the animals on the live cam!

A Nature Walk With Sony Productions

Go on an exciting travel adventure with Sony Production Kids Zone’s new film Nature Walk! This is a great film celebrating earth and all its wonderful animals! Learn about animal migration, global terrains, and more. The visuals will have you totally escaping world wide right through your screen. I cant wait to watch Nature Walk on our next movie night!

Bouder Ballet

Keep your tiny dancer dancing! Bouder Ballet is offering virtual ballet classes to keep all our ballerinas on their toes. With classes for all levels, this is a great opportunity to stay on schedule for our ballet education.

For the new mamas out there! 

The NICU nurses in NYC working on the frontline with babies of COVID+ moms AND teaching virtual newborn care classes to parents (+ offering supportive follow up once the baby is born) since all in person classes have been cancelled. Check out Bright and Baby!
