I am kind of a sucker for anything customized. You’ve already seen my SITC tote bag or “merch” (as my kids like to call it). I know it sounds funny, but I love making things into my own! I love initials on cuffs and first names on shirt pockets, and I am always ready to buy another personalized canvas boat tote.
I remember getting tons of cool patches in those vintage shops along 8th street in Manhattan when I was younger. And decorating my jeans with patches and permanent markers. Who else is with me?
My kids are really into customizing their things, too…another wonderful obsession I have passed along to them. Luckily, we’ve just discovered Qpid’s Kids to make all those pieces for us. Those jackets are so cute with the personalization. My oldest would have loved a jacket like this when she was younger.
I fully remember making a sequin design on the back of my jacket when I was in 6th grade. I thought I was the coolest thing ever.
