My kids may not be psyched that school is back in session, but one thing we are all looking forward to is getting back into are our Friday Movie Night routine! Our weeks seem to be overloaded with chaos between school, homework and afternoon activities, so Friday nights is the first opportunity to unwind, re-connect, and chat about our week. I try my best to keep Friday afternoons clear, as our one down day. It may be my favorite day of the week!
Friday nights always consist of pizza(yayfor no cooking!), popcorn, and a special treat or two for the kids. Ryder, Siella, and Gemma are all responsible for picking out the movies, alternating weeks so everyone gets a say; but last Friday, I decided to surprise the kids with a Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom themed movie night. Now that it’s finally available on Blu-ray, with more than an hour of bonus content, I knew it was the perfect pick for their first week back at school!
Jason and I recall watching the original Jurassic Park over and over again, so this movie franchise brings back memories from when we were children, watching with our siblings! Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is definitely one of the most thrilling installments of the Jurassic series, with an adventure 65 million years in the making, for audiences of all ages with a stunning new chapter filled with more dinosaurs than any other Jurassic film.
To add to the dino movie night adventure, I thought it would be hilarious to pick up a Jurassic World dino inflatable costume, along with some other Jurassic-themed treats to add to the fun! Ryder insisted on watching the entire movie in it, and I think it may make its way into the trick or treat circuit this year! Siella and Gemma couldn’t stop cracking up at him, and I have a feeling that this movie night may go down as one of the more memorable ones for sure, and there was lots of roaring….!

My husband wants one of those dinos so bad. He would end up going out to the bus stop in it.
It really looks like you guys had a fun time even doing this post. I have not seen any of the Jurassic World movies yet! I may have to do a family movie weekend so that we can catch up.
I love Jurassic movies. Can’t wait to see the newest one. Love that dino outfit.

Yep my grandsons would want that out fit if they saw it that is for sure. I haven’t seen the movie yet but plan on seeing it very soon. This Christmas it will be all about the dinosaurs.
What a fun costume, my kids would love that. It would be so nice to dress up like that to go with the theme of the movie.

Movie night is always the best! There’s nothing like unwinding after a long hard week of work.
We love doing movie night with the kids! (In fact we’re doing one tonight!) Jurassic Park would be a great pick for our next one. 🙂
This costume is amazing! We went to see Jurassic Park in theaters with our dinosaur obsessed three year old daughter. And as crazy as that sounds, it was incredible. She loves dinosaurs, especially the scariest ones and isn’t afraid so she loved the movie. We can’t wait to watch during a family movie night.
My kids would have an all out brawl for that costume! The boys can’t wait to see this movie.
Oh my gosh – that Dinosaur costume looks like so much! We loved this movie in our family! What a fun movie night to have!
