Choosing Window Treatments for the Perfect Look

As most of you know, we recently purchased a second home out in the Hamptons, that’s been a longtime dream coming. With this being a first home purchase for Jason and I, it’s safe to say we’ve learned a ton along the way. While yes we’ve definitely made a few mistakes, purchasing this home was truly the best decision we’ve ever made, we love the neighborhood, and we absolutely adore the way our interior design turned out. However, before we got to the finished product, we had a lot of decisions to make. Believe it or not, most of them were easy, but for a while, we were stuck on the right window treatments. While I can easily coordinate any kind of fashion outfit, I have an extremely hard time coordinating anything that has to do with interior design. We couldn’t decide if we wanted blinds or drapes, and we bounced back and forth quite a lot. Fortunately, I decided to seek the experts and called 3 Day Blinds to come to the rescue. Once we finally found some help, we were finally able to make a decision.

The Before:

3 Day Blinds helped us choose the right window treatments for our living room, the last holdout in our journey to finishing up our home decor. They are an amazing company. They helped us with every aspect of choosing window treatments for our living room, as well as our mudroom starting from the design and ending with the installation. It felt so good to have professionals take over.

The Mudroom:

Choosing window treatments is a big decision when you’re designing the look of your home. Should you go with blinds or drapes? Should you choose both? Is manual or motorized the better choice for you? There are tons of questions to ask yourself with choosing window treatments, from what kind to get to what color would be best. My husband and I recently went through all of those questions while chatting through with our amazing design consultant Dilenia from 3 Day Blinds.

The Living Room:

We spend a few hours with Dilenia from 3 Day Blinds, telling her what our vision was for our home. I want to stress that she totally got my style and made the process so easy for me. From there, she chose options based on what we’d told her, and we were finally able to make a decision. In the end, we ended up going with drapery to match the overall vibe of our living room. She also suggested our for little window in the mudroom, Woven Wood Shades. I can honestly say without 3 Day Blinds professional help, I would have no idea what we would’ve chosen for this space, and couldn’t be more thrilled with the results! In fact, after the super easy install, I can’t believe we actually went this long with no window treatments! And might I add the quality is beyond!

If you’re in the process of choosing window treatments, I can’t recommend 3 Day Blinds enough. They have more than just designers to help you. They also have highly qualified installation professionals, an absolutely enormous selection of all kinds of window treatments from curtains to blinds in both manual and motorized varieties. At 3 Day Blinds, you’ll find blinds, shades, shutters, and curtains and drapes, and you’ll find helpful designers and installers to make the entire process painless. We couldn’t be happier with our results, and I think you’ll love your experience, too. I’m excited to share this link www.3DayBlinds.com/StrollerInTheCity, to receive BOGO50 on your entire order of Blinds, Shades and Drapery when you schedule a consultation appointment!

  1. The Confused Twenty Something

The treatments you chose look great! This is the part I’d struggle with most as it makes such a big difference.

  2. I love how you’ve dressed your windows. We have one pair of curtains in the house because the way our home is built, there’s no room for curtains in our bedroom. So it’s just vertical blinds. I do intend to eventually put up a curtain pole in the spare room, but we’re currently stuck on a style of curtain rod!
