My family and I had an amazing opportunity to have a photo shoot with the one and only Jane Goodrich. Jane is a New York based newborn and children’s photographer with an artful eye and a modern edge. Her talent lies in her ability to capture a moment in time. And let me just tell you if that means by laying on the floor in order to get the building behind you; she is on it!
From the minute my kids met her they were instantly intrigued and actually listened to her! She was so amazing with my kids that by the end of the shoot they were calling her Aunt Janie. Seriously, I am not joking. She understands kids and the way they work, making the shoot fun for them and the parents (me).
Throughout the entire shoot, and let me add fast, the kids thought they were on a playdate. They were laughing and running around the entire time. And what I love most, everything was candid. I am not a fan of posed shots and not one time did she even expect and ask my crazy kids to pose. And looks at these shots. She truly has an amazing talent and I was so fortunate enough to work with her!
Jane has written and photographed several books including “Capturing Every Day Life”; the no-nonsense guide to photographing your kids, the children’s book “Where is Charlie’s Nose?” and the soon to be published coffee table book “New York is My Playground”. Jane also teaches photography workshops including teaching parents how to photograph their children, professional photography classes as well as mentors upcoming photographers.

Stroller In The City was not compensated for this post but did receive a complimentary photo shoot.
