New iOS 16 Features for 2022

New iOS 16 features are on the horizon, and I couldn’t be more excited! I’ve been an Apple user for years, and I always get so excited when they introduce new features. Their operating system is already super secure and so user-friendly, so it’s hard for me to imagine that they could make it any better. But every time a new OS rolls out, they manage to do just that. From productivity to ease and even new ways to make payments easier. They’re always upping the bar.

It offers a host of new features that pertain to things! For instance, text messages, voice control, battery life, icloud keychain, the wallet app, camera app, safety check and the home screen. That’s why I’m so happy to be able to share the upcoming new iOS 16 software update features that are now on your favorite Apple devices.

The iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, and more are all getting new features with the new rollout. This will make our lives easier and more productive than ever before. As a long-time Apple user and owner of several of their products, this is exciting! I can’t wait to see these new features in action and bring them to life in a new way!. So iphone users or apple users in general, you’ll want to head to your settings app and download new updates to get this version of iOs. You don’t have to get a new iphone to get this update, it’s in your software settings!

Family Sharing

Family Sharing will get an update as part of the new rollout, and it makes sharing purchases, subscriptions, and more easy and secure. Using this option, up to 5 members of your household can stay abreast of everything that’s happening! In addition, Apple One will make entertainment shareable. It rolls all of Apple’s subscription services into one simple plan, offering savings of up to $25 a month. It offers Apple TV+, Music, Arcade, and 200GB of iCloud+ storage. The Apple One Premier plan offers all of those services plus Apple’s News+ and Fitness+, as well. You can share purchases from Apple TV, Apple Books, or the App Store with your family members. Everyone must be using Family Sharing. You only need everyone on Family Sharing to be using the same payment method provided by the family organizer, rather than everyone using their own apple pay orders. This is happening for the first time!

Parental Controls

If you have kids, you can take advantage of the built-in parental controls to monitor screen time and approve purchases, as well. In this new iOS 16 update, setting up accounts is going to be even easier, with parental controls in place from the start, suggestions for age-appropriate restrictions, and an easier new device setup process. Family Checklist, a new addition to Family Sharing, offers tips and suggestions to get the most out of Family Sharing, as well, so you’ll always be able to take full advantage of all its features. This is a big change from the free update on the latest iOS 16.

Screen Time

Screen Time is also getting an update. Using it, you can get real-time reports on device usage and set time limits appropriate to your children’s ages from time on specific apps to time on entire devices. Schedule downtime for the kids, making only chosen phone calls, messages, and apps available during those times. The new iOS 16 features for Screen Time will include an easier account setup process that enables age-appropriate parental controls from the start, along with suggestions for media restrictions. in addition, Quick Start will make it easy to set up a new iOS or iPadOS device for children with controls already in place. Finally, the kids can send you Screen Time requests that appear in real-time in Messages, so it’s easy to approve or deny requests.

Camera

We already know that iPhone has just about the best camera out there! But with the new update, even the camera is getting an improvement. Shared Albums and Memories are even easier with iCloud Shared Photo Library! This allows seamless collaboration, contribution, and enjoyment of shared photos with the family. Contribute photos manually or use smart features for super easy sharing. For instance, like a switch in Camera, automatic sharing via Bluetooth, and sharing suggestions. In addition, iPhone13, iPhon13 Pro, and iPhone13 Pro Max will receive foreground blur in portrait photos for a more realistic depth of field, which might be the biggest change.

Family Care

Apple’s Family Care features are also getting some upgrades. New iOS 16 features will include an FDA-cleared AFib History feature. This is for those who are diagnosed with AFib! It can be used to estimate how frequently a user’s heart rhythm show signs of AFib for more accurate insights into their condition. There’s also a new Medications feature on Apple Watch and iPhone. It helps users manage and track their medications, vitamins, and supplements, enabling the creation of medical lists, schedules and reminders, and easy viewing of health information about their medication in the Health app. Iphone owners, this is one of Apple’s iOS updates and security features you will definitely want to remember!

Of course, all of these new iOS 16 features will be integrated into the already amazing line of apps and tools Apple offers on its devices, so you’re getting so much in this new rollout. I’m incredibly excited to take advantage of everything the new OS has to offer, and I hope you are, too.
