Kardashians host Operation Shower

It’s not everyday you get to interview Kim, Kourtney, and Khloe Kardashian. This Monday, I had the amazing opportunity of chatting with the ladies about their partnership with Babies R Us and Operation Shower. Operation Shower is about celebrating, honoring and showing love to military families. The Kardashian’s along with Babies R Us hosted an incredible baby shower  held at Battello in Jersey City with expectant and news moms and showered them with joy as well as much-needed gifts, including baby essentials like cribs, car seats and toys, as they plan for the arrival of their little ones.

As part of its ongoing partnership with Operation Shower, the Toys”R”Us Children’s Fund provided a $100,000 grant to help the organization bring the fun and exciting experience of a traditional baby shower to these women and others across the country. The Kardashians gifted all guests their adorable Kardashian Kids Clothing Line, as well as took part in fun games and even decorated onesies with fabric markers. Penelope {Kourtney’s daughter} even decorated one. Khloe Kardashian added “Operation Shower releases that burden of not knowing where to start when it comes to having a new baby. Some of these women are away from their families or in a different country.”

I had a chance to ask Kim and Kourtney about some of their favorite baby essentials that they simply cannot live without. This topic of conversation went on for a while and we all had quite a few laughs during it. Kim said she absolutely loved her Moses Basket, she used it during the first few months since North was so tiny when she was born. After North grew out of it, she loved her Stokke Crib and has now moved her into a Lucite type crib. She also added that nipple shields and lanolin saved her life, while her sister Kourtney chimed that she used an all natural one like Burts Bees. Some of my other favorites are the Ubbi Diaper Pail, which makes for never smelling a dirty diaper and I do love my wipe warmer.”

Kourtney said some of her favorites essentials were her rocking/gliding chair made by Monte. She said she had one wherever she was living at the time: New York, Miami, and California. “It was white leather and so easy to wipe down”, adds Kourtney. Some of her other favorites were Aden & Anais swaddles, Earth Mama Angel Baby, and the Miracle Blanket for when the baby was really small.

On talking fashion the girls are thrilled with their Kardashian Kids Fall Collection. There’s faux leather pieces and funky tribal prints along with moccasins that you will love. Their entire collection is sold exclusively at Babies R Us and at really affordable prices. The girls are all really involved in the details as far as the snaps and how the clothes function. They made sure the line is not only high fashion but functional at the same time. They all said how much they love all things neutral, and even asked me to give a shout out to all the brands I work with “We want neutral colors: grey, creams, whites!”, stated Kim.

Overall, the afternoon was absolutely lovely, Operation Shower along with Babies R Us truly made an unforgettable event for the military families and all of the mamas were beyond overjoyed with all their new goodies!
