It seems like a lifetime ago, but I remember vividly finding out when I was pregnant with Gemma. I was smitten with the idea of having another girl and close in age to Siella. When I grew up, I had the best relationship with my little sister, and I wanted my girls to experience that same bond. Siella and Gemma share the same 21-month gap as my sister Amanda and I, so they were on the right track from the start.
Growing up and even now as an adult, passing on clothing from one generation has always been a way of life. My mom saved some favorite outfits when we were growing up, and today my girls wear them with pride. Many of Siella’s clothing goes to Gemma, which I always keep that in mind when shopping for them. I sometimes splurge on Siella’s duds, knowing that Gemma will likely get some use from the same pieces, when it fits her. And the cycle doesn’t end there. Once Gemma has sprouted out of something, it’s offered to their cousin Emilia. Even the other day, Gemma put about five things into a pile and claimed it Emila’s stuff. With our bustling closets, it’s getting to a point where someone else needs to have a baby girl to share the wealth.
For those pieces that will be handed down, I always take extra care when washing. In fact, I’m like that with all my children’s clothing. Often, this hard work is thwarted by someone returning home from school with stains all over them. Siella is a frequent culprit with her arts and crafts in school, and sewing classes during the week!
Clorox 2® Stain Remover & Color Booster makes stain removal easy, keeping cherished clothes looking good. When you pair Clorox 2® with your favorite detergent, you can remove 4x more stains and brighten 2x more than using detergent alone. This stain remover is safe for all loads and all washable colored fabrics.
When the kids stain their clothing, I immediately treat it with Clorox 2® Stain Remover & Color Booster. Without fail, the stains disappear leaving their clothes looking like new again! Not only do they look good, but they are left with a clean linen scent! Stains are bound to happen especially with little ones, but I am glad to have an arsenal to combat them!
With all our family travel, I always pack a Clorox 2® Pre-Treat Stain Remover Pen in our luggage. It’s specially designed to pre-treat stains on colors, and features TripleSolve™ Technology to penetrate, dissolve and eliminate tough messes. If we are staying in a hotel, I’ll pretreat the stain and let it soak for about 10 minutes before washing it in the sink if I do not have access to a washer. The Clorox 2® Pen is always a top tip I suggest to anyone traveling with young families.
The girls love sharing and handing down their clothes, but there are some pieces that Siella can’t part with, and has stashed away for her kids one day! Good thing her keepsakes will be stain free!

We are all about Clorox in our house. It WORKS and I can always count on it.
That Clorox stain remover is exactly what our household needs! For some reason, I find stains on everything – shirts, pants… even our sheets for the dining table!
I immediately treat the stains too, if I catch them. Clorox is definitely a brand we trust.
I’ve always been a fan of Clorox. It has helped me get rid of stains throughout the years. I also love how it keeps colors bright!
Clorox is a great stain remover. I try to treat the clothes as soon as possible. That way I don’t forget when loading the washer. Saves on clothing so they can be used once again.
I’m going to keep this in mind. Like I mentioned above, I am always facing stains on our linens and clothing items… this has got to change! I’ll give Clorox a try.
I can’t imagine life without Clorox. We always handed down clothes to our younger sisters growing up. Mom always used Clorox and they always looked brand new. Now I do the same with my kids.
I use Clorox all the time! That stuff it’s everything so much cleaner and all the stains seem to go away. We travel a lot too and I like to have a stain remover with me since our kiddos are a little bit messy when they eat LOL!
I absolutely hate doing laundry so I’m all about finding ways to make doing laundry easier. I will have to try out the stain solvers since my boys stain their clothes every chance they get!
It’s definitely nice to hear that you found a product that allows you to take better care of all of your clothes. I like that the kids are able to share their clothes and even pass it down to their younger cousins.
I have boys who are a few years apart and handing down clothes is pretty common in our family as well. I make sure to take care of our clothes properly. So glad there are products like Clorox to rely on.
Clorox is one of my must haves. Always have to keep it on hand. With so many kids and spills/issues it’s a must. So wonderful.
Looking at this post made me realize I havent seen a laundromat in a long time! A very long time, but it is a NYC thing most my family up north use the laundromat to wash their clothes too.
I love Clorox 2, I’ve been using it for years. I still have to try the Pre-Treat Stain Remover Pen. It looks like it’s a must-have.
We’re all about passing down the clothing in this family as well. Why not?! If there’s nothing wrong with it, then someone can wear it! ha!
My husband is a printer, so his clothes are covered in ink and all kinds of mess when he gets home. I use Clorox products almost everyday.
It’s so nice to be able to pass on clothes to the younger ones without sacrificing the quality when you wash them. I love how you take good care of all of your clothes. Clorox is such an awesome brand!
I love being able to pass down clothes between my boys. It saves money. Its great that your daughters have such a great relationship. My boys are either at each other’s throats or friends. I kind of wish I had a little girl to balance things out a bit.
I love me some Clorox!! I use the color safe Clorox on my scrubs every time I wash them, they feel like they are actually clean that way.
Clorox is an absolute must-have. I do laundry constantly and with 7 kids it’s something we always have on hand as a just in case.
Kids tend to dirty their clothes quickly. Clorox seems like a nice way to remove those obstinate stains. Have not tried it though. Will check it out.
How great your daughters are so close in age. My sister and I are 14 months apart and we are very close! I could really use a pre-treat stain remover pen in my life, this product sounds great.
This sounds amazing! As a mama of 2 youngsters myself, I am always looking for the best stain removers. I’ll have to check this out! Oh an my babes are 19 months apart 🙂
Wow, your blog looks cute. Your kids so sweet. Handed down clothes is also what i love most of my older sister!
