Even with the new push to change the narrative of being “perfect” and having to be a certain size. There are still so many messages out there that can devastate a young girl’s confidence. The tween years are especially difficult. They’re just coming into their own. They’re beginning to become more adult in their thinking in some ways. Their bodies are changing. In my opinion, the tween years are the hardest and most potentially devastating to any girl.
JstBU is a new company I’ve found that focuses on intimates with a twist for tween girls. They have a complete line of bras, sports bras, underwear, and even accessories that are tailor-made for tween girls. Of course, there are tons of companies out there that carry intimates for tween girls, so what makes JstBU so special? Well, their intimates are designed to be more than comfortable. They’re designed to build confidence in young girls.
JstBU was created by two moms who could see exactly how the world around our girls can really harm them. All the negative messages about body image, being a perfect weight, and having the perfect look are out there, and they’re damaging our girls. These two moms created JstBU to combat those messages with messages of their own. Each and every piece of this company’s body-confident intimates line comes with a message to help our girls remember that they are amazing.
The company focuses on what’s inside, rather than outside – just like their intimates. Each piece has a hidden inspirational message like “Imperfectly Perfect” and “Trust Yourself” that are meant for just the girls to see. It’s a nice way for them to walk around in a day, fully armored in the notion that they are perfect exactly as they are.
One of my favorite things about the company is that they’re building confidence in our girls, AND they’re providing really nice undergarments while they do it. The quality of these items is excellent, and they’re all very comfortable. With comfortable fabrics and designs that are made to be a joy to wear rather than uncomfortable torture, JstBU really has covered all the bases.
