Although this back to school year is completely different than anything we’ve ever experienced before in our life times, I still want to instill a sense of normalcy for my kiddies when it comes time for back to learning! Whether my kids are home or back in school, I still plan to pack their lunchboxes each day, as this will probably be the only thing that will be the same when it comes time for school! I’ve packed quite a number of lunches in my day and want to highlight some of my kids most favorites!
I just discovered Strong Roots brand this summer, and I love all of their veggie based options that can easily be warmed up in a toaster or oven before heading off to school. There spinach bites, or quinoa burgers will definitely make the perfect lunchbox combo!
Ever since Siella and I went to London, she begs for tea sandwiches. Siella’s Cucumber and Vegan Cream Cheese Sammy is an absolutely hit, and we love this vegan Kite Hill everything cream cream cheese, but feel free to use your favorite brand.
Gemma’s all about turkey and cheese rolls up! I usually pair them with a fruit, veggies, and granola bars! Another option on constant rotation for her are these celery sticks with nut butter, and topped with raisins. Adapted this one from Weelicious!
Make their lunches fun by cutting their sandwiches into fun shapes, sticking cute little (non sharp!) toothpicks in their sandwiches or making fun fruit kabobs!
Soups and chili’s are another fan favorite with my kids, I usually put them in these containers that I know are spill proof! My black bean soup can be found here!
Sample lunches for the week:
Monday: Hummus, Veggies on pita.
Tuesday: Turkey, Cheese, Avocado Roll Ups
Wednesday: Nut Butter, Banana, Chia Seeds rolled up like sushi rolls
Thursday: Vegan Cream Cheese and Cucumber Tea Sandwich
Friday: Black Bean Soup

These are great ideas. I love those lunchboxes and the way they’re partitioned out.
These are great ideas. I think any kid would love these. I really love the way they have separate compartments. That opens up all kinds of possibilities.
So awesome! Those are all wonderful ides for lunches. I remember my mom packing my lunch when I was young. It was usually a ham and cheese sandwich or peanut butter and jelly haha. I was always jealous of the kids that had lunchables.
These are gorgeous lunch ideas. I really like your reusable containers too, so ecofriendly! Thanks for the lunch time inspiration.
With a family of 5 + pup, I try to keep things as ecofriendly as I can. Little changes go a long way.
Wow! I wish my lunches looked like this when I was at school! They all look delicious and a lot of great ideas to have different lunches, also those lunch boxes are so great and help to keep your lunch organize. Definitely keeping this in mind for when I have kids
So many great ideas for kids as they go back to school! It reminds me of my own childhood school days. 🙂
These are all great lunch options. And I love the lunch boxes!
It’s nice that you prepare kids’ lunch boxes. It’s healthier and cheaper. It’s fun bonding too with kids!
Definitely healthier and cheaper!
Nnniiiccceeeee….it looks like lunch for the whole term, has been sorted! I love this.
It’s always good to see some inspiration for lunch boxes, these all look amazing. Spinach bites sound really good, they must be very healthy too.
Hi, Brianne! I like how creative these ideas are! Especially cutting the sandwiches into fun shapes! 🙂 Thanks for sharing this!
Heheh! So cute and playful right?
I love these ideas. Honestly, the only reason I want us to go back to work instead of working from home is so that I can make cute lunches for me and my husband.
All of these lunch options look really good. Nice and healthy too!
I always try to give my kids balanced meals.
Simple and delicious lunch ideas for the upcoming school year. We’re so ready for this year and excited to see how it goes.
I love the sushi roll ups and hummus/pita combo. I’ve been needing some inspo for lunches when the kids go back to school next week!
Such great ideas! I used to love packing lunches for my son! Miss those days!
