A Colorful Ride

This is a sponsored post. Thank you for supporting SITC.

Yesterday, I just the first taste of the summer routine, and have to say I’m a little nervous about managing it all this summer. Over the next few weeks, Ryder has science camp, and Siella has dance camp, both with the same drop off times, and each location couldn’t be further apart from one another. Since the camps end at 12pm and 1pm, it seemed to just make sense for Gemma and I to stroll around and hit the park, because we didn’t have time to go home and head back before the first camp let out.  We no longer have a babysitter, and when Jason is on the road, it will be just me.

With all the time we will spend moving from place to place this summer, the Orbit G3 Travel System is the ideal setup for my little family of three littles. The innovative strolling solution is known for its customizability from bases to seats to accessories. It features a 360-degree rotating seat perfect when dining out, color-coded brakes for easy distinction, adjustable handlebars, along with a roomy cargo basket for storage.

The Orbit has been in our family before Gemma was born, and it’s grown to accommodate Gemma. We walk everywhere, and sometimes need to be in two places at the same time (camp, for instance!) and I feel safe knowing I have all three around me holding onto something. Gemma usually sits in the toddler seat, while the big kids cruise on the side kick boards and hold onto the handles. The side kick stroller boards are key, and the kids love hitching a ride whenever possible. Orbit’s patented QuadShock front stroller suspension and rubber no-pump rear tires gives for a smooth push, which is needed for uneven rocky NYC pavement.

Since we’ve been using the Orbit for so long, I felt we should spruce it up at bit with some of their new color sunshades, Plum and Ruby. The sunshades are big enough to completely cover the seat, protecting the kids from the sun’s rays; and with 100% UVA and UVB protection, I am reassured that they are safe and comfortable. Gemma is slowing letting go of her midday nap, but somehow, she still falls asleep riding in the Orbit allowing me to still tote the big kids around. Speaking of traveling, our stroller has come nearly everywhere with us, as the frame folds down with only one hand, making for easy transition in out of cars and even airplanes.

On our first outings with the new shades, I thought it would be fun to coordinate the girls’ outfits to match. The shades are a breeze to change, so one look for each color shade was easy enough to pull off.  It made such a statement, that I was stopped on our esplanade, and asked several times who makes our stroller.

We are headed out to Long Island this weekend for the 4th of July, so we will use the new Ruby sunshade, while the kids rock some patriotic outfits, which are already packed and ready to go.

Like any stroller for a New Yorker, the Orbitbaby G3 Travel System is so much a part of our lives and lifestyle, why not personalize it to your mood or wardrobe, from day to day! I am sure it will make our shuffling from place to place a bit more colorful.

  1. Who knew a stroller could be so much fun? I had no idea that they were putting SKATEBOARDS on the back of them now 🙂

Almost makes me wish I had little kids again. ALMOST.

  2. I love the kick board option as it looks like it is more off to the side rather than right in front of where you should push. Now do they also go up when not using them?

  3. First, your photos are simply stunning. I am about to have baby #2 and think this is a great option for me. Is comes with a carseat too right?

  4. Loving the new colors especially the Ruby! What a great idea to change up the colors! Your photos are absolutely gorgeous!

  5. Love the purple! Is your skirt something that was purchased recently? Hate to be annoying but it’s so cute!

    1. Hi Chrissy Not at all. Its from Free People. I purchased it back in April. It actually turns into a dress and I do believe they still have it. xx

  6. Wow! These are great! Our strollers were so old school that there wasn’t anything this cool when my kids were small. I love your pictures!
