Winter has finally arrived, and living along the Hudson in Battery Park, the temps tend to be colder, and wind gust are more intense than the rest of the city. Regardless of how old the kids get, no one can ever get use to the brisk chill; not even me. Morning commutes are the worst, as we leave the house before 8am, when the temps are far beyond their highs, so we tend to dress in heavy layers. Living on a high floor, we tend to be faced with lengthy elevator wait times, and my little ones start to roast while all bundled up and naturally start to melt. By the time we are on the first floor, I am re-bundling them up so we can head outside. The walk itself to school isn’t much better, with wind and frigid air whipping us in the faces, I usually drop Ryder and Siella off with rosy cheeks and frozen little bodies.
Gemma, on the other hand, sits snug as bug in her stroller. Winter after winter, I pull our trusted 7 A.M ENFANT BLANKET212 and WarMMuffs out of storage and immediately put in on our stroller.
The sleek contemporary BLANKET212 Evolution is the ultimate baby bunting, equipped with zippered length and width extensions, so the footmuff grows with your child from infancy to preschool. It’s versatile and durable, and adapts to any stroller, and can convert into a large blanket. Constructed with an ergonomic hood, thermal filling and a waterproof shell, the Blanket212 Evolution will keep them dry from head to toe; and its offered in plenty of color options.
I know Gemma keeps warm in there, and the bigs always ask why they can’t have the same toasty set up. Selfishly, I get a taste of the comfort with the WarMMuffs made for the stroller handles. Since I usually forget my gloves when rushing out the door, or stopping along the way to school to re-adjust their gear or tie shoe laces, the mitts are a life saver. With their award-winning design, the WarMMuffs are the ultimate cold weather solution for strolling in outdoors with little ones. The kids even have the WarMMuffs pint sized, that fit perfectly on their scooters, or their baby’s strollers, keeping them comfy along their journey.
I was psyched this year to see their newest color addition, Heather Grey, which matches my Orbit Baby Limited Edition Porter Collection color perfectly, keeping me functional and fashionable. 7AM ENFANT truly has every parent covered in the outerwear department, and if it weren’t for them, I don’t know how my children would get around town warm and dry.

As much as I really really still miss the East Coast – – I was kind of grateful when mine was tiny not to have to figure out how to keep her warm. I love this approach 🙂
Gemma looks so warm in her 7 AM ENFANT Footmuff. Love this picture of you all — I wish 7AM ENFANT made jackets for us!
Love how there is mittens for Mommy too!
