With winter here, we are not only excited to accessorize for a whole new season but we are looking for a little extra warmth. Our winter wardrobe is anything but boring. We prioritize items in the winter season that not only help trap in body heat but are designed for warmth without sacrificing style. As a family, we do a lot of outdoor activities this time of year year. And need cold weather accessories to add to a casual outfit. We are entering the colder months and cold conditions are trending to be much colder than it’s been in recent years.

Firstly, when it comes to keeping warm, we make sure to look at the fabric and materials of the pieces we are investing in. For instance, a wool hat, merino wool chunky scarf, faux fur hat and lightweight versions of wool half-finger glove options are just a few to keep in mind. Cold temperatures are here and we want the ultimate warmth. The most important thing is that the materials are practical and easy to take care of.
Some forget to dry clean or wash their seasonal accessories because they aren’t so easy to take care of. Keeping up with these things is way easier when they are made of materials that can easily be tossed in the wash or included in the next dry cleaning run. Body temperature needs to be maintained in order to keep warm. The material of the accessories can help with that immensely. We love wearing wool socks with our boots for extra warmth because heat escapes the feat quicker than the rest of the body. Wet conditions can make feet colder too.
