What Keeps This Mom Dry!
This is a post is sponsored by Secret Deodorant. Thank you for supporting SITC!
For my work, I spend a lot of time meeting new people, working with new brands and capturing my life on my blog and social media. It is important to me that I feel and look good. I want to look presentable and put together especially after doing three school drop-offs, running errands and trekking through the city from meeting to meeting. And then there’s the transportation of course, like the sweltering subway. I read recently that the temperature can sometimes hit 140 degrees Fahrenheit on the subway platform! I mean…I love the heat but that is outrageous! The soaring summer temperatures are on their way and I am sweating just thinking about it.
One of my biggest pet peeves is sweat. Coming from a fashion background, I like to wear all sorts of fun tops and dresses but I don’t want to walk into an important meeting, waive hello or give a hug with wet circles under my arms! YIKES! And did you ever notice that the more you worry about the underarm sweat, the worse it gets? Apparently, that stress sweat smells the worst because it comes from a different gland, causing more bacteria and more odor. Yes, sweat happens but I also don’t have time to run home and change, so it is essential to use a deodorant that keeps me protected all day. My days might feel like a workout but I certainly don’t want to look or smell like I have been through the ringer.
I have to bring out the big guns—Clinical Strength—if I am going to make it through the day so I use Secret Clinical Strength Invisible Solid just once for all day strong wetness protection. The difference is night and day. I can spend the entire day out rushing around and I still smell fresh. It is pretty amazing. Pick one up at CVS and try it yourself!
Secret Clinical Strength Invisible Solid goes on dry with a smooth, even application. I have used Secret Deodorant for years—in fact I think it was the first deodorant I used…as a tween! Secret has always been a brand I trusted to keep me dry. Even though we all sweat and it is perfectly natural, it can still be so embarrassing. But I love that Secret is encouraging us women (and mom’s) to demand more from our beauty products. I can say I have gained confidence with age. Blossoming from a shy, young girl into a strong, confident businesswoman was a transition that has been accompanied by many speed bumps along the way – sweat definitely being one. Now, as I am continuing to become that woman, I am teaching my daughters about confidence and being comfortable in their own skin.
You know I love checking things off my list, so I love that I finally have a deodorant that I can put on once in the morning and not worry or think about all day. Check!
