Protect Your Baby From The Sun

This post is dedicated to National Skin Cancer Awareness Month and to encourage parents to protect the delicate skin of infants and babies from the sun’s damaging rays. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends that babies under 6 months of age should be kept out of direct sunlight.

We are finally experiencing warmer weather in NYC and I have had quit the challenge trying to cover up littles during our walks outside and  especially in the playground. I feel sometimes my swaddles are not good enough as the sun can easily beam right through. I’ve been searching for some kind of shield for her and finally stumbled upon… The Shade! The Shade by Imagine Baby, is an infant car seat shield that provides UPF 50+ protection against the sun’s harmful UVA and UVB rays, among many other protective functions. The Shade’s patented design has been uniquely fashioned to safely protect baby from outside elements such as sun, wind, rain, and bugs (cicadas anyone).

For more information on Imagine Baby and The Shade, please visit www.imaginebaby.com. Imagine baby is offering 20% discount on all pre orders of The Shade made on the Imagine Baby Shop page during the month of May. Protect your baby this summer!

  1. Such a brilliant idea! Using a blanket to cover up a sleeping infant is the worst – it always blows off and you can’t easily check to see that your baby is still sleeping! Love this product!
