Sunday Style: H&M Summer

There’s nothing I love more than weekend getaways during the summer. Leaving the responsibilities and schedules behind can be so refreshing. This week we headed to my parents house for some much needed family time. Thursday afternoon, I packed up our bags, our dogs, and our never ending must haves and headed out. Packing was tough, because lately it seems like the kids are changing into something new three times per day. Between sandy beach excursions, pool time, unexpected spray grounds at the park, ice cream spills, and Gemma’s residual potty training mishaps, our laundry loads are overflowing.

When it comes to summer essentials for my children’s wardrobes, I always turn to H&M. This season, they have hit it out of the park with easy and lightweight pieces, for my ever changing kids. Ryder lives in these their basic tanks, boasting tons of colors and stripes, usually offered in a 2-pack. He typically lives in their sweat shorts too, but this morning was particularly chilly on the water, so we opted for straight leg, light wash denim. H&M jeans are the only denim he wears, and their slim jeans really cater to his long slender body type. Not to mention, their soft denim is key in the comfort factor.

When it comes to fashion, I am a creature of habit. If I see something that fits, I need to have it in every color. I tend to do this with the girls dresses, and they probably have this dress here, in three different prints. There is also a tank style dress that we have in several different prints. One of those dresses is always guaranteed to be in my bag, just in case we need a quick change.

In addition to their clothes, H&M has some pretty cool kicks and accessories. The girls are wearing my favorite hi-top sneaker in silver glitter. They love hair clips, so they went nuts over the star shaped clips, and even Ryder found cool beaded bracelets, which he wears like ankle bracelets.

Filled with family, friends, barbecues, tons of pool time, and a fun carnival at the beach, this weekend was definitely one of the good ones. Summertime can quickly slip by, but I am fully embracing every moment of these two short months.
