SITC hosts Pop Up Shop

I recently hosted my first every Pop Up Shop at the stunning COCO-MAT Soho shop showcasing a few of my favorite designers. The evening was filled with shopping, cocktails and kids crafts with Curated Care was the perfect way to spend a random Wednesday in Soho.

POPUP SHOP

First, let me just gush about the drool-worthy COCO-MAT space. Set up like a typical designers dream loft with soaring ceilings, spacious kitchen area, tasteful interiors and, of course comfy and luxurious mattresses. It was the perfect setting for an intimate pop-up shop. COCO-MAT sells beds, mattresses, pillows and an attractive collection of other home furnishings; all crafted with natural materials.

What made the space even more beautiful was seeing the racks of clothes and accessories created by talented and stylish designers who gathered for the pop-up shop.

Atsuyo et Akiko is based in Brooklyn and sells a selection of children’s and women’s clothing along with accessories and home interiors. Their collection is inspiring. Pair a tutu with a cool t-shirt and your little girl is good to go. I can’t even count how many Siella and Gemma have donned their pieces over the years. We LOVE this brand.

Marin & Morgan creates designs inspired by kids fashion around the world. The prints and looks are so fun I wish they all came in mom-size! Radha, the designer of this brainchild put together the mix of designers we represented that evening. Siella wore her Candy Pop Print Fuffled Blouson Tunic the entire evening.

Cabbages & Kings sold their gorgeous kids wear and all of their items are handmade by artisans in central Mexico and the Andean Valleys of Peru and Bolivia. I am in love with the summer tops and dresses collection. But I have to say the embroidered booties for newborns were a huge hit!

Agatha Cub is a kidswear brand known for their digital prints. They offer sustainable workwear for kids. And I cannot tell you how much their entire spring/summer collections makes me want to pack our bags and travel the world!

Amour Bows sells lovely headwear for kids. No look would be complete without an oversized bow or wreath of silk flowers to top it off.

Crafts and fun for the kids were in the capable hands of Curated Care. Founded by Marlene Veloso and Erin McCounaghy, Curated Care is a New York based childcare online platform that connects your family with kid experts who will not just babysit your kids but will enrich your child with fun and educational activities. They also connect families with artists, performers and educators who will share their talents with kids.

Overall, the evening was a huge success and I am already in the process of organizing another one! Stay tuned!
