Has anyone else been on the side of the internet where people are making amazing looking coffees and matchas right at home? We’ve been feeling inspired to take small spaces and make them the perfect spot for an at home coffee bar. While we’re working on perfecting our morning cup of coffee and tea recipes, we are creating a dedicated space to do this in. We’ve pulled coffee supplies and a few pieces that we think would make for an amazing yet affordable option for a coffee shop right at home. These are the essentials for the perfect coffee bar in your own space.
Coffee Machine
Firstly, this is the most important thing for coffee lovers. Finding a machine that works great for your coffee corner but is something that easily fits into your morning routine is key here. If it’s too complicated it won’t be something you’ll want do use daily. For anyone who prefers drip, that’s an option as well! Coffee essentials will require a machine and potentially a milk frother if that is a part of your recipe plan. If you already have something like a Keurig or a traditional coffee machine, those are great for a coffee card and don’t take up a lot of space. This is your coffee nook and whatever machine you prefer, works here!
Furniture
Secondly, we need the piece of furniture that will hold all of your machines and accessories. You need to give yourself enough space for storage as well, especially if you are lacking counter space. We think a console table is a great idea because it fits right into the living room or a small kitchen and offers storage for a lot of options online. You can put cups inside of the cabinet or on the bottom of a coffee cart. Open shelving above your at home coffee station can be another option for your coffee bar area. It looks cute but is practical as well. You don’t need an interior designer for this, it’s something you can put together yourself!
Bonus points if you have a thrift store where you can get some really unique pieces for a personal touch. It doesn’t need to be the focal point of your space, it can totally in a small corner. Ultimately, this sis a convenient way to make your own coffee at home and have a sweet little coffee setup while you’re at it.
Accessories
Finally, this is how we make it super cute. Finding adorable mugs that can be used as decor on top of being practical for daily use are the first thing we are after. Other options can include artwork, frames, a pop of color and jars to hold all of your ingredients. We’re already obsessed with becoming at home baristas and cannot wait to take all of our findings to put them together and make storage solutions work with our stylish addition. We are going for the coffee station feel but one that has a little spot that totally blends in with our space.
