Fall has a lot going on and we’re honestly looking forward to it all! We love to host friends and family for holidays and just get togethers generally. It’s the season of giving thanks and as we kick off the holiday season, we think setting up a tablescape that works for all natural elements of the fall is so much fun. The fall season is one of our very favorites and we’re planning place settings that are in the fall color palette while being a table setting that can be used to celebrate all season long. From Halloween to Thanksgiving, here is our beautiful tablescape concept that we hope you enjoy!

Color Scheme
Firstly, one of the easiest ways to begin here is with a color theme. Fall has so many amazing colors associated with it that are also on the more natural side. So you can blend them together or choose a few to use as subtle hints of fall. Beyond beautiful dinner parties, we like to eat dinner all together each night so this can also be a fun way to differentiate the table setting from the summer season. Think seasonal fruits and the color of leaves at this time of the year. Reds, browns, beiges, orange and creams are a few ideas for a. color scheme. Gold accents are always welcome as a pop of color in our home!
Focal Point
Secondly, maybe find a focal point on your simple fall tablescape. This can be something such as pine cones surrounded by fall flowers or corn husks. We love autumn tablescapes because they really warm up our home. Seasonal touches bring a new season into the dining room and become center stage for the holidays. We look to fall inspiration for fall decor in our space. Taking rich colors and blending them with neutrals can add texture and dimension to the table. Taper candles with vibrant flowers tend to be our go-to options and you can go any color way for these. The best part is that you don’t have to get everything from one place. Use the seasonal inspiration to find bits and pieces here and there to put together your classic fall tablescape.
Details
Finally, it’s all in the small details! Creative ideas are always welcome and now is a great time to experiment with tablescapes before the holidays officially begin. If you want to go to a flea market or thrifting, op for a vintage fall tablescape. Although, if you want something more modern maybe Pottery Barn is your spot for easy fall tablescapes. Fall table decor can include votive candles to bring more warmth to the space, little white pumpkins at the center of the dining room table or turkey napkin rings on soft linen napkins. Special occasions are always fun to decorate for but the fall season generally is a special occasion enough in itself. Use this as your general fall tablescape and add more fun elements in small ways to create a Thanksgiving tablescape from there.
