As moms, we are constantly focused on caring for our children, seldom leaving time to think about ourselves. I face this on a daily basis, so there is plenty of time spent juggling family and work responsibilities, trying not to drop the ball. Here’s a perfect example. Before school ended, all three kids wound up getting strep throat! In fact, right after Siella and Gemma finished their first round of antibiotics, we were back at the doctor’s office only to discover they were sick with it again. As I was sitting in the waiting room, I felt my throat was getting swollen, but brushed it off as sympathy pains for my little ones. The pediatrician offered to swab my throat, but I refused, chalking it up to allergies. But low and behold, the day after the doctor’s visit, I woke up and could barely talk. I knew I indeed had strep too! With back to back class trips for Ryder and Siella that week, I couldn’t be out of commission! I jetted out of the house at 7am, and headed straight to CityMD. Lucky for me, they are located a few blocks from our apartment. I figured I could get treated, and be back in time to take the kids to school!
CityMD is a leading urgent care provider dedicated to delivering state-of-the-art medical care with a personalized, patient-centric approach. They accept most health care insurances, so I knew I wouldn’t be faced with a huge bill. My wait was under five minutes before I was called into an exam room. The nurse took my vitals, and the doctor asked my symptoms, and took a swab. That was it, I was certain I had strep.
Since it was early in the morning, I knew I couldn’t get the prescription filled prior to getting the kids out and starting my busy day, so CityMD Urgent Care administered my first dose at the office along with a pain reliever for the swelling. I still felt under the weather for the remainder of the day, but I was thankful to have taken care of it early in the day, so I could get on the mend!

Sounds like CityMD is a very convenient option for quick, compassionate care. We don’t have such options in rural areas. I’m glad they were able to help you. I hope everyone is feeling better now
CityMD sounds great. I love the idea of making healthcare needs EASY. Easy is key for me.
That has to be the nicest urgent care I’ve ever seen. If you have to be sick and waiting for any length of time, it’s nice to know you’ll be comfy.
Your kids are too cute! I hate when my kids are sick too! There is nothing worse than a lethargic child I cannot help.
Your kids are super adorable. There is nothing worse than when your kids are sick. That feeling of utter helplessness is damaging to one’s well-being! There is nothing better than when healthcare is made to be easier!
A 5 minute wait is unheard of! Nice to have an Urgent Care that’s moving quickly.
Thats AMAZING. Very clean too!! Never heard of such a short wait time.
It is an important step to have reliable healthcare and a place to get seen! Looks clean and a good way to get healthcare!
This would be a great place to go when I get sick. Mom’s are always the last one on the to do list. I can not afford to get sick so I need somewhere like this I can get into fast.
I am all for anything that makes healthcare easier. With 4 kids going to the doctor and waiting all day can be a pain!
CityMD sounds like a valuable service. Not needing to make an appointment or endure a long wait time is great.
I had to go to an urgent care here recently. The service was great and it was much faster and far less expensive than the emergency room!
