Kids Style File: Appaman

My family and I have been huge fans of the brand Appaman for quite sometime now..I mean check SITC out here, here, and here. Appaman was inspired by and named after, the childhood companion of the designer Harald Husum. While growing up in Norway, Husum befriended a corduroy ape named Appaman. Appaman reflects the whimsical spirit of those youthful times and celebrates the unbreakable bond between a boy and his ape. Appaman has a unique Scandinavian perspective on Ameripop iconic imagery. Husum finds inspiration everyday on the mean streets of Brooklyn and translates it into his ever changing palette of vibrant garments.

Ryder has been wearing their winter bubble jackets for the past three years now. And because they are super warm and a brand I can trust to get us through bone chilling winters here in NYC, I purchased one for Siella this year as well. Although Appaman makes the best outerwear, they also make pretty cool clothing as well. I adore these tailored suits for boys. Appaman gets it when it comes to boys suiting, the legs are tapered and jackets are fitted. Anything but your average frumpy suit. Dress it up or down, with a tee, tie or even the suit jacket with jeans. Your little man will be rockin in his suit! Ryder and I had so much fun with this photo shoot! He adores the suit and plans to wear it next month for a family function!
