Kids Shopping File: Wild Bambini

Meet Wild Bambini a brand new e-shop based in Paris. This less than a month old shop has a ton of new and inspiring European designers. This very different unique shop is a must to check out. I was able to chat with owner, Karla Atonal about Wild Bambini and its future plans!

1. How and when was Wild Bambini born?
Wild Bambini was born this October. Of course, the idea of a kids designer e-shop has been growing and growing for months (even years) and after the decision was taken, it still took several months before the opening.
Choosing the designers and the items was a big job! Harder than I could imagine. I have always believe kids should their childhood and be able to wear items they probably won’t wear being adults. This is the main feature of Wild BAMBINI.

Siella is wearing a Lolita le Chat hand-embroidered, flared shape dress with back button detailing. The bohemian style is perfect for a chic little girl.

 2. Can you tell us some of the brands you carry in your shop?

Ubang is a danish brand that fits exactly with Wild Bambini’s features. All their items are so soft and comfortable that children could sleep with them. Clothes are high quality and are designed to play with them. Garments become toys and children are fashionable! Another of Wild Bambini’s favourite brand is Kidcase, a dutch brand. Their designs are simple, lines are pure. As Kidscase is very concerned with social and ethical impact of their production most of the clothes are organic. Wild Bambini also have toys, stationary or jewelry such as the british Jelly Cat and its beautiful and original soft toys or the french Coq en Pâte with its easy to make little teams.

3. What was your inspiration behind purchasing the Fall 2013 collection?
As Winter Fall 2013 has been our first collection, our inspiration when choosing designers and items has been to stick as closely as possible to our world: a fun, creative, colorful and bohemian world.
We love color. I think Red is our favorite color this season. Everything matches with red and this color enhances fresh face colour. Many of our designers have worked with that lovely red: Lolita le Chat, Kidscase, La queue du Chat etc..
4. Can you tell us any trends for holiday?
For Holidays, I imagine little princesses and princess going out to meet either Santa or their bests friends! A bit of princess costume in the glittering dress, some nice kids jewelry and the perfect Christmas outfit is ready. Louise Misha is the perfect french brand for that occasion: so elegant, so french, glittering but yet soft and confortable. Prefer light color rather than dark ones because they are still kids!

5. What’s next for Wild Bambini?

Wild Bambini is looking forward  to growing and discovering a lot of new designers. We would like to become an important family partner by proposing new economical and environemental responsive brands. We have the idea of being present all over the world by distrinuting from France and Mexico. For next season (spring/summer 2014) we will welcome Bobo Choses and Buho, and 2 spanish brands!

Thank you Wild Bambini xx
