I am kind of a fanatic when it comes to my teeth. I never miss a cleaning and I probably would go every month if I had the time. So naturally I am strict with the rest of my family, too. As soon as each child was old enough, we were already making regular dental appointments for them. We all go twice a year for routine check ups and cleanings. It’s so important to set the foundation now for my children and to get in a good routine to maintain healthy teeth while they are still young.
Starting from infancy most parents implement a routine for bedtime that included bath, books, songs and bed. When my kids were toddlers it was easy to make brushing a part of their bedtime and morning routines because they were so dependent on me…but as they got a little older I really had to focus on making brushing something they took pride in and enjoyed. Even though the kids know that in the morning brushing your teeth and washing your face is part of a fresh start for the day, and brushing before bedtime routine, it can still be a bit of a challenge. The key for us is to make brushing fun and Orajel™ does just that.
Orajel™ has amazing new flavors for both the Fluoride-Free Training Toothpaste and the Anticavity Fluoride Toothpaste. Orajel™ helps to protect against cavities to keep young teeth and gums healthy while strengthening their teeth. They just came out with new and cool characters so each kid can have their own personal combo. Gemma is obsessed with the My Little Pony toothpaste, while Siella naturally loves the Paw Patrol collection and Ryder, of course, is a Spider Man guy! They love the fact that now they have their own personalized characters, and are really digging the new flavors like Fruity Fun, Berry Blast, and Bubble Berry! Orajel™ also makes matching toothbrushes that have colored bristle guides to show the kids where to position the toothbrush.
I’ve learned some useful tips on Orajel’s website too. Once your kids graduate from the training toothpaste and understand the whole concept of brushing they are ready for the next step, so now my kids use the Anticavity Fluoride Toothpaste. I love watching them crowd around the sink brushing and rinsing and checking out their teeth—it is such a fun family activity. I still of course go over Gemma’s teeth each day making sure she doesn’t miss anything. Now that we have brushing our teeth down, my next step is figuring out how to get everyone out the door on time in the morning.

That is really cute toothpaste. One of the keys to getting kids to brush (or anything else they don’t like) is to make it fun.
We use Orajel toothpaste for our kids and its great! My kids are still little (3 and 1) so they swallow a little bit of it and I’m glad its fluoride free.
I don’t have kids and I barely get MYSELF out the door on time in the morning! LOL 🙂
We use Orajel toothpaste in our house. We started using it when the kids were little and we still use it now!
My girls always loved the flavors that Orajel offered. Even now in their teens, I still buy it for them to use because they like it so much!
All three of my kids starting brushing with Orajel training toothpaste, which is the stuff that’s safe to swallow. That early introduction definitely helped establish proper oral hygiene habits.
It’s great that they are enjoying the Orajel flavors and characters. My kids used Orajel when they were little too.
I love their fluoride free option. I’m just as touchy about my teeth as well. For good reason though!
My grandchildren are using Orajel training toothpaste too. This product is good to start them on the habit of dental hygiene. My children are very vigilant in maintaining their oral and dental health, and even as adults, they regularly visit their dentist for cleaning and a yearly fluoride treatment to avoid cavity formation.
we have that same brand of toothpaste at home., the kids loved it!
That sounds like an awesome training toothpaste. Will have to check this out! Sharing this with my mom friends with little kids.
We have been using this toothpaste for many years. It’s perfect for the little kids and gets my kids excited about brushing!
We do the same with our kids. I even sometimes brush their teeth to really get them a deep clean.
They so need that deep cleaning. Kids are notorious for not brushing properly
I love those moments with them crowded around the sink too. It’s great there are options so that every age can care for their teeth.
I have no kids yet and didnt realize kids have training toothpaste. I think it is smart each kid has their own toothpaste.
