Game Day Quencher

Baseball season has begun, and I have to say, its been a rocky start. The first practices were scheduled for early March, but with an unusually cold and blistery March and April, the majority of their Monday practices were cancelled. In fact, some games were scratched, and they’ve only played three up to this point. I am hoping the month of May will bring lots of sunshine and warm days, because the season only lasts another five or six weeks.

In years past, the coaches served as the pitchers but this season, kids and coaches rotate on the mound each inning and some of them have done surprisingly well. Ryder loves playing shortstop and this year, he’s finally eager to practice and gets excited for the weekend games. When the kids were younger, we would be in the dugouts to wrangle them, but now that they are older, parents and siblings have moved to bleachers section to not distract the players. During the first two games, Ryder ran out of his regular 8oz water bottle by the second inning, so I turned to Igloo and found their latest PROformance Jug, which has been the perfect solution.

This Half Gallon Sports Jug keeps the water cool and Ryder hydrated throughout the game. The comfort-grip handle with non-slip texture makes it really easy for him to carry. And my favorite feature is that the handle comes equipped with hooks, which is ideal for hanging on fences, strollers, and sport bags. This keeps the jug clean and within easy reach.

The PROformance Jug proved to be so functional that I picked out one for each child. With all their warm weather activities and the summer months coming up, these will come in handy for playground romps and days at beach. They are BPA free, so I don’t need to worry about nasty chemicals leaking into their drinks. And speaking of leaks, their design is leak resistant to prevent messy situations.

Here’s to baseball season! Looking forward to watching my boy work hard on the field for the remainder of season.

  1. Very timely post because I was just about to look for new water jugs for the kids for the summer sports! It gets super hot in NC so these water jugs would be perfect!
