Easy Storage Solutions with Manhattan Mini Storage

This is a sponsored post. Thank you for supporting SITC.

Easy storage solutions are vital when you live in New York City. I’ve talked about storage difficulties when you live in the city before. The constant struggle to find space to store your outdoor gear and even seasonal clothing is real when you live in New York City. I’ve visited friends who don’t live in the city, and what we New Yorkers call “lots of storage” other people call “the guest room closet”. That’s not an exaggeration.

For a sporty family like mine, it’s even more difficult because we love getting outdoors in both the warm and cold months. That means we have to store seasonal gear like skis, ski suits, swim trunks, floats, and all the other fun stuff that we use on a season-to-season basis. Thankfully, I have a storage unit with Manhattan Mini Storage to help me manage it all. And I cannot tell you how grateful I was to have my storage oasis when our current pandemic hit and all five of us were in our apartment for three months straight.

Like many of us, when indoors with no-where to go, I started cleaning everything in our apartment – I’m talking closets, drawers, kitchen cabinets, you name it, I cleaned it out. While I did throw a ton of things out, I also wanted to keep a few things and was lucky enough to have Manhattan Mini Storage opened during this crisis to allow me to drop off my keepsakes.

Manhattan Mini Storage implemented a plan is to keep their locations open and operating, by implementing precautionary measures and utilizing CDC-recommended prevention steps.

Current COVID 19 Guidelines:

Manhattan Mini Storage also addressed the current COVID-19 situation super quickly, and has made a few adjustments on how they operate on a daily. All of their locations use CDC-approved disinfectant supplies. We have increased the frequency of handwashing, sanitization of offices, and high-touch areas. We have also implemented team member policies to follow all guidelines as provided by local, state, and federal regulations, including monitoring body temperature, virus symptoms, and staying home when sick.We ask that you ONLY come to a location for ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL VISITS. If you need to visit Manhattan Mini Storage, you’re required to remain at least 6 feet away from all team members and other customers at all times. Masks are required in all public spaces. Our team members are also required to wear masks when in contact with potential and current customers. We have also disabled free WiFi access to discourage congregating in lobby areas. Lobbies are staffed, however, they are only accessible with a free reservation made in advance either online or by calling 212-STORAGE (786-7243).Unfortunately, the Free Storage Shuttle service is not currently in operation.

Right now, we’re getting ready to swap out our spring and summer gear so we can start getting out and about again now that things are on the verge of opening up. As always, the helpful staff has been accommodating and super-friendly throughout the entire process, making the transition in storage so easy and low-stress. Believe me, I welcome low-stress levels right now!

With so much going on in our day-to-day lives, I’m glad I have easy storage solutions from Manhattan Mini Storage to help me swap out my family’s gear quickly and efficiently. If you live in New York, and you’re buried in stuff, I highly encourage you to give Manhattan Mini Storage a call. They’ve been an absolute lifesaver for me, and I think the will be for you, too.

  1. I just looked into storage in my area. It was so expensive. It would exceed the value of the items I wanted stored in less than a year. I would rather just get rid of it and buy it new and fresh when I have the space again. But sometimes it is just unavoidable. So I guess I’m glad it’s there even though it seems so expensive.

  2. I know I was supposed to be focused on the storage (which is great, thank you for the plug), but I loved your dress!

  3. I too have been thankful for the places who have found a way to be safe enough to remain open. There are so many things we take for granted, until everything starts shutting down.

  4. That is such an awesome idea. It looks like a perfect storage for excess and things that are not used often.
