As women, our bodies are constantly going through changes. We grow, develop and finally settle in to the person we are. But then we have kids, and the body we thought we knew so well changes in ways we never thought imaginable. It is scary! From leaking boobs to bigger feet, our postpartum bodies are uncharted territory and we keep changing as we age, too! Yikes.
I remember thinking how strange it was when I heard my mom and her friends joke about laughing so hard that they peed. They would crack up about it and I thought it was totally gross. I was a teenager, what did I know? It wasn’t until I became a mom that I totally understood. The term for this is Light Bladder Leakage (LBL) and it is for real. Plenty of moms experience Light Bladder Leakage during normal daily activities.
As a working mom of three, I am constantly switching gears and experiencing the gamut of emotions and personalities on a daily basis. I can be hysterically laughing with my kids in the morning, then frantically running to and from school for drop-off or pick-up. On top of this, I have been trying to make time for regular workouts, and I really enjoy cycling classes—it gets my heart rate up and I love the energy! I don’t have time to deal with bladder issues, so I use a secret weapon to keep me dry! Stayfree Ultra Thin pad with All-In-One technology is my savior for occasional leakage situations.

Many years ago my doctor told me almost every woman will deal with LBL, and that the big problem was that people didn’ttalk about it. It’s great to see people talking about it.
IT’s great to have those on hand. Everyone deals with LBL at some point, it’s such a big issue. I am glad everyone is more open about it now.
It’s the worst. I have to cross my legs when I sneeze. And God forbid I have an unexpected allergy attack or cough!
You really don’t ever know, so you have to be prepared. I have a special compartment in my purse where I keep my supplies.
We have given up so many things in exchange for motherhood, but I have no regrets. I am proud of what my body can do – nurture a human life inside of me, not only once but three times! LBL is an issue that used to be taboo to even mention, but I am glad that now we can openly talk about it and exchange views on products that help address the issue.
Yes, it’s a shame when something spoils a walk with children. Do not spoil your days off – the buddhas are always ready for not being pleasant. As your clean apartment to guests.
