A Whimsical 12th Birthday

For Siella’s birthday this year, she requested a dinner with friends at one of her favorite restaurants, but also wanted to add a little activity to do to make the evening last a little longer. We decided to have the girls make beaded bracelets. Beaded bracelets are back and better than ever, and I couldn’t love this trend more. Each day my girls change out their “stacks” as they like to call it to match their outfits. Finding a good party theme for your kids as they get older can seem impossible and it also gets more difficult to get a party favor for teens. Making bracelets is a themed party in itself and the best part is that the guest list gets to take home a few! Happy Birthday to my Siella! Her 12th birthday party was one for the books and we had the best time with close friends and family. Quality time is the best gift of all!

Bracelets

One thing that has never gone out of style for me is beads. From beaded accents to classic bead bracelets, I just love them. They’re so much fun! You can go whimsical with bright, poppy colors, or keep it low-key with beaded accents on more reserved designs, but beads have always had a special place in my heart. We had the founder herself come to Siella’s party to help the girls make their own designs, and when I tell you she had every single color imaginable, the creations were beyond.

Bead Making

The minute the girls saw the array of beads they were working with they all got started super quickly, while Becky guided them all through the process, especially helping them tie them tightly so they last forever. Each girl made two to three bracelets and I love that they were able to then take these keepsakes home with them afterwards. I think it’s the perfect idea for a birthday party with your closest friends! Indoor fun has never looked better and it works for any child’s birthday! The teenage years are tough, but finding a craft my kids still love is something that is overall a great way to have birthday celebrations.
