Where to Eat in the Hamptons this Summer

As you all know, I’ve spent most of my summers out east, every since I was little. It’s something I knew I wanted my children to experience in the summers and I am so grateful to be able to have a home out here to escape from the city to. Over the years, I’ve been working on compiling the perfect list of must-go-to spots in The Hamptons and I am here to say, it’s a good one!

Here is everywhere you should eat out east in The Hamptons and Montauk!

Il Buco Al Mare

There’s nothing better than fresh, local seafood. Located in Amagansett, this coastal Italian-inspired restaurant needs to be at the top of your list! Everything on this menu is delicious, but I’d go for the seafood, duck and focaccia for sure!

Rita Cantina

This modern coastal Mexican cuisine is to die for! We simply can’t get enough of it! They use local ingredients for their food and the spot is simply the cutest! they even have picnic tables outside in sand! Also, can we talk about the drinks there? Frozen margs? Yes, please!

LUNCH

It’s no secret my family loves this spot. You can count on us to come in at least twice a week! They have some of the best, legendary lobster rolls out east and you can’t go to the Hamptons and not get one! With so many options such as cold and hot lobster rolls, lobster salad and clams, this is the perfect place to check out this summer season! All of the seafood is super fresh and they have locations in both Amagansett and Southampton.

Little Ruby’s Montauk at Ruschmeyer’s

Located in Montauk, the iconic Australian New York City spot has a pop-up this summer! It’s one of the new restaurants out east this summer! Ruby’s not only uses local produce, but they focus on Aussie cuisine and delicious cocktails. This is a great spot to bring your friends to, as it’s something everyone can find something they love at and it’s super cute there! An honorable mention is that they do have pizza this summer!

The Clam Bar

If you’re a seafood fan, this is one of the best restaurants! Located at Napeague on the highway, they offer both dine in and take out, which is even great to bring out for a day at the beach! A few things you can order are clams, oysters, clam chowder, crab cakes, lobster rolls and so much more. Fresh seafood out east is the best!

This Greek food is top notch! These traditional dishes make for great food and I can’t express enough how fresh everything is. They have every spread you can imagine, fantastic seafood, the branzino is outstanding and so much more. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu!

Crow’s Nest

Another fabulous Montauk spot on West Lake Drive, this restaurant is inside a hotel on the beach! Talk about great views! They are a walk-in only establishment, so give yourself enough time to get there. The oysters and pasta are my favorite dishes!

Dopo Il Ponte

If you’re craving Italian or Wood-Burning Oven cooked pizza, this is the place to be! On the east end of the Island, this Italian place is not only incredibly delicious, but they offer so many great things on both their lunch and dinner menu. What would you order, pizza, pasta or seafood?

Carissa’s

This bakery has 2 locations in East Hampton and 1 in Sag Harbor and is beyond unreal! They make fresh breads, pastries and cakes. So if you need a cake for a special occasion– you better order from them! We love to get pastries for breakfast on the weekends from here!

Highway Restaurant & Bar

Located in East Hampton on Montauk Highway, this spot is on the way to everything! Their menu features great apps, pizzas, pastas and mains, as well as a full kids menu, which is always great! The papaya and crab salad sounds amazing. Another thing to note is that they cater!

This New American restaurant is one of the yummiest places to dine this summer! Serving lunch, brunch and dinner now and the drinks are great, too! There’s great vegetarian options here, too, which are always good to have. Enjoy muscles, salads, sandwiches and so much more at this casual establishment.
