Where to Eat in the Hamptons this Summer

As you all know, I’ve spent most of my summers out east, every since I was little. It’s something I knew I wanted my children to experience in the summers and I am so grateful to be able to have a home out here to escape from the city to. Over the years, I’ve been working on compiling the perfect list of must-go-to spots in The Hamptons and I am here to say, it’s a good one!

Here is everywhere you should eat out east in The Hamptons and Montauk!

Il Buco Al Mare

There’s nothing better than fresh, local seafood. Located in Amagansett, this coastal Italian-inspired restaurant needs to be at the top of your list! Everything on this menu is delicious, but I’d go for the seafood, duck and focaccia for sure!

LUNCH

It’s no secret my family loves this spot. You can count on us to come in at least twice a week! They have some of the best, legendary lobster rolls out east and you can’t go to the Hamptons and not get one! With so many options such as cold and hot lobster rolls, lobster salad and clams, this is the perfect place to check out this summer season! All of the seafood is super fresh and they have locations in both Amagansett and Southampton.

The Clam Bar

If you’re a seafood fan, this is one of the best restaurants! Located at Napeague on the highway, they offer both dine in and take out, which is even great to bring out for a day at the beach! A few things you can order are clams, oysters, clam chowder, crab cakes, lobster rolls and so much more. Fresh seafood out east is the best!

Léon 1909

Located on Shelter Island, this French inspired cuisine is everything the hype lives up to and more! Their menu is Provençal style and features regional ingredients that are seasonal, which we love. Fan favorite dishes include the Hanger Steak, Paccheri, Pan Roasted Fluke, and Léon Burger. They have some of the most unique brunch options that we crave such as blueberry coffee cake and a savory dutch baby. With a full wine and spirits menu as well, this spot is one you must check out!

Enchante in Southampton

This French Bistro has all the french food you’ve been dreaming of! Located in Sothampton, this spot is a go-to for us. They offer brunch, dinner and a full cocktail menu, which is always a great sign at a restaurant!

Calissa

Another great Southampton spot, it is as if you are in Greece instead of New York! What I love about this place is that they have a full kids menu, so it’s family friendly. They’re even great at takeout and the food transfers so well!

Duryeas

The iconic Montauk spot is an absolute must-go! They’re the most known for their lobster salad, which is beyond delicious. I catch myself dreaming of it sometimes! The location is right on the water, so the views are stunning, but they are always booked up, so make sure you plan accordingly.

El Taco Bar

This Sag Harbor spot will hit the spot! If you are craving tacos or Mexican food, you have to check them out! We love their shrimp tacos and their bowls are always a great option if you want to go the healthier route.

Vin Sur Vingt Bistro

The fabulous wine spot has a bistro! They are located in Sag Harbor with an exquisite French cuisine. If you can manage to get brunch over dinner, I always recommend that for a pick me up during the day of delicious food, but the wine is some of the very best in town!

Kissaki

I think I’ve found the best Japanese restaurant in Water Mill on Montauk Highway! The quality and sourcing of the food is top notch! The sushi is amazing, they have wagyu toast and noodle dishes, as well.

Sí Sí

We all know I love Mediterranean cuisine! This spot has dishes like Paella, Roasted Striped Bass and Bucatini Verde with Lobster. Come on, how delicious do those sound?! It’s not easy to find amazing paella out east, so this is the place to be! They are open for lunch, brunch and dinner at EHP Resort in East Hampton.

Topping Rose House

If you haven’t heard of Topping Rose House, let me fill you in. This is a place in Bridgehampton where you can stay, eat and enjoy luxurious experiences like rejuvenating fitness classes. Make a whole weekend or day out of it- stay there, attend a great class, enjoy the outdoor pool and dining room, which has outdoor seating.

La Fondita

This spot offers Mexican street food, which is absolutely outstanding! The ingredients are incredibly fresh and they offer outdoor dining and take out only, so this is a great spot to go to after a day at the beach or to bring home and enjoy outside. Did I mention the prices can’t be beat?! You can find them on Montauk hwy.

Elaia Estiatorio

This Greek food is top notch! These traditional dishes make for great food and I can’t express enough how fresh everything is. They have every spread you can imagine, fantastic seafood, the branzino is outstanding and so much more. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu!

Crow’s Nest

Another fabulous Montauk spot on West Lake Drive, this restaurant is inside a hotel on the beach! Talk about great views! They are a walk-in only establishment, so give yourself enough time to get there. The oysters and pasta are my favorite dishes!

Dopo Il Ponte

If you’re craving Italian or Wood-Burning Oven cooked pizza, this is the place to be! On the east end of the Island, this Italian place is not only incredibly delicious, but they offer so many great things on both their lunch and dinner menu. What would you order, pizza, pasta or seafood?

Pierre’s

Located in Bridgehampton, this market is also a restaurant that serves lunch, brunch, dinner and has a great wine menu! I love the fact that you can dress up and go or stay casual and you feel totally at home there. It’s fresh French food with tons of options, which is always great!

Highway Restaurant & Bar

Located in East Hampton on Montauk Highway, this spot is on the way to everything! Their menu features great apps, pizzas, pastas and mains, as well as a full kids menu, which is always great! The papaya and crab salad sounds amazing. Another thing to note is that they cater!

Goldberg’s

Who wants bagels?! This is THE bagel spot of the Hamptons and for great reason– it’s the best! If you’ve been out here, you have definitely heard of it! These make for great breakfasts and lunches to make for your kids’ camp.

Bostwick’s Chowder House

This is another absolutely iconic spot to check out in the Hamptons. They have both indoor and outdoor seating seaside and offer some of the freshest seafood out east. On top of having a great kids menu, they are known for their seafood. They have tons of different chowders, clams, oysters, lobsters and some of the best lobster rolls out there. Something to remember is that they do cater! It’s always a good time there!

Tutto Il Giorno

Located in Sag Harbor, East Hampton and Southampton, this establishment is a must-go! Such authentic Italian cuisine is really hard to come by and this place does it right! I mean, they have just about every pasta and dessert imaginable, what’s not to love?!

Cowfish

You guys are going to love this one! This restaurant is open year round and on the water! Happy Hour is weekdays from 3-5PM and it’s 1/2 off apps and some drinks, which is great. They also have live music Friday’s and Sunday’s, which is such a fun form of entertainment to dine with. Serving lunch, brunch and dinner they have so many options on the menu ranging from lobster to steak to sushi and waffles. This is a place everyone can find something they enjoy at!

Flora

This New American restaurant is one of the yummiest places to dine this summer! Serving lunch, brunch and dinner now and the drinks are great, too! There’s great vegetarian options here, too, which are always good to have. Enjoy muscles, salads, sandwiches and so much more at this casual establishment.
