I am thrilled for the Pale Cloud AW 2011 collection to hit stores this coming August. Below, is an interview with the designer about the start of the collection and future plans……
1. How was Pale Cloud born?
Marion has always been a fashion designer, working mostly with ladies fashion and accessories. When she started to think about what to do after the birth of our daughter, Freya, she had joked that she should start her own brand because, even in London, the choice of well designed clothes for girls was so poor. That small joke very quickly turned into our new passion, Pale Cloud.
2. Summer hasn’t even started yet and there’s been non stop buzz about the Pale Cloud collection coming for fall. What’s that been like?
We are delighted and stunned by the interest in our first collection. We are receiving enquiries from stores all over the world who are interested in stocking the Fall11 collection and we are thrilled that we will be stocked from Beverly Hill to Beirut……
3. What are you three must haves from your Fall 2011 collection?
Everyone has their own favourite but for a rounded wardrobe addition, we would recommend the (a.) Inez Raincoat for strolling around in the city, (b.) The Talia Cashmere Dress for smart lunches and the (c.) Dalia Silk Dress with its hundreds of hand sewn clouds for special occasions.

4. What is next for the Pale Cloud collection in the coming months for Spring 2012?
We have to look a long way into the future and we already have the Spring Summer 2012 Collection ready for the summer of trade shows. We start in London at Bubble 19th June then move onto Paris at Playtime 2nd July; we love New York and will be at Playtime in SoHo from 30th July. We arrive back in Sweden with just enough time to repack and leave for CPH Kids in Copenhagen from 4th Aug, our last show. Shorty after that we will be sending out the Fall11 Collection to the stores and looking forward to the reaction and feedback the most important people, the girls and Mums who will be choosing their fall winter wardrobes.
