It’s amazing how one milestone in your child’s life leads into another one. At around four months old, Ryder’s teeth started coming in, which was much earlier than both my girls. Not sure if its true, but someone told me that the earlier they get teeth, the quicker they lose them. The tooth fairy starting coming to our house, last year when Ryder was in kindergarden. It’s always a treat to see his glowing face, the morning after the tooth fairy comes. His reaction to her leaving sprinkles of pixie dust on his pillows is priceless, and somehow she even seems to leave a little for Siella and Gemma. It’s just magical.

At this point, Ryder has now lost eight teeth, and while at a routine cleaning appointment, our dentist mentioned that he will probably need braces, within a year or so. Somehow, both Jason and I skirted the need for braces as kids, so not knowing what to expect, I started to research different brace options.
