Autumnal Equinox

I’m right in the middle of packing up for our beach vacation, which we leave for next week. Bathing suits, flip flops, sun dresses, shorts, and sunscreens are quickly filling up our many bags, but we return home from this trip just one day before school starts, so at the other end of our apartment is stacked with back packs, school supplies, lunch boxes, and fall essentials. I know we will return home to cooler weather, and just like that, the summer will officially be gone. Warm weather wardrobes will be traded for long pants, and light weight tees and flip flops will be moved into storage.

In order to be carefree vacation, I’m prepping all this week, so the transition will be as smooth as possible when we get home. When it comes to shoes for the the kids, Zappos has truly been a life saver, offering next business day fast delivery through the app, and their 365 day return policy is unbeatable. I ordered these kicks for all three kids, and was shocked how fast they arrived. Psyched to have had enough time for me to try them on each child to determine whether or not they fit them, that way I won’t be stressing next week if I purchased the correct sizes.

Ryder is a total sneaker dude. Even when dressing up, a sneaker is always part of the ensemble. Supra’s are the ultimate cool hi-top, and I always pick out a fresh new pair for him, before school starts. The Supra Kids Skytop is offered in all sorts of fun colors, including metallics and this season I decided to go with this Washed Denim pair.

Mini booties have made it into constant rotation for my girls wardrobe, during the cooler months. For back to school, I typically get each of them one pair of sneakers, and one boot type shoe. These Sam Edelman Petty bootie for kids was something I simply could not pass up, because I own these exact shoes in my size. Siella nearly flipped when she saw the little 1 inch heel. She begged to take them to the beach, but I promised she could break them out for the first day of school.

Since Gemma wants all things as her big sis, I found these Kenneth Cole Fringe Booties, that I knew would suit her match-y match needs. These southwestern flair booties are going to be just perfect for the fall months, and I can totally see her rocking these out in the pumpkin field, come October.

We are all looking forward to our last hurrah at the beach next week, and believe it or not, I think we are also looking forward to easing back into our schedules.
