How are you all feeling about summer 2020? I’m feeling so daunted by it all. After months of distance learning, it’s now officially Camp Mom, and why do I already feel burnt out? Luckily so many companies are reformatting their summer programs and camps to be experienced at home virtually! I need all the help I can get this summer as we stay local and stay safe! I’ve round up some awesome options to keeping kids of all ages learning and entertained! Good luck and hang in there!
Little Passports Summer Camp In A Box
Little Passports is offering summer camp in a box! Great for ages 3-12, this box keeps campers busy for several hours a day for 6 days. I love the idea of continuing to discover cultures and countries even if we can physically travel there yet! Little passports also offers a science box camp for all our little scientists!
Access To Language Studies
This virtual summer camp is a great resource for older children (12-19 years old). American and international students will be able to pursue educational topics not typically available at summer schools and summer camps, including Creative Writing, Film Production, Music History, Environmental Science, College Preparation, and more.

Art Students League Of New York City
Do you have a teen artist needing to be inspired? The Art Students League is offering teen virtual workshops and camps for all your young artists! The class is designed to develop a foundation in drawing. Students will also learn how to interpret still life subjects. They will gain a skills needed to create their own artwork, incorporating a range of approaches and materials including: graphite, charcoal, colored pencil, marker, ink, oil pastel, watercolor, and collage.
Broadway From Home
Broadway From Home is an online-based classroom that was created to keep theater education for kids going in response to the COVID-19 outbreak. They employ Broadway actors who are currently out of work to teach each class. This is a fun and immersive way to get your kids excited about theater and theater arts!

I wish we had something similar here. Our summer is almost over and we are still on community quarantine. The kids have missed out on summer this year, but no regrets. As long as they are safe and healthy, it is fine with us. We’ll keep these ideas in mind for next summer.
I love that so many places are doing this. It’s not the same as actually going to camp, but it’s a nice substitute for the summer life we are experiencing right now.
