I can’t believe we are looking at bathing suits already to pack into a beach bag. It feels like just yesterday we had warm weather and. now we have the kids’ spring vacation approaching. After we had a decently cold winter so far in the city, we are really looking forward to a beach vacation. While we have made a quick packing list for our spring break trip, we are sorting through our new favorite things for warmer weather. If you don’t have any upcoming travel plans, save this post for the summer! You could find a good idea for those upcoming beach days! From swim coverups to vacation outfits, these are the resort wear pieces in our cart for a warm-weather getaway.
Swimsuit Coverups
Firstly, we expect to be having a lot of beach days on our tropical getaway. For our next vacation, we want to do something relaxing and that will require a lot of time by the pool or water in general. So it’s safe to say we will be needing a bunch of swimsuit coverups! While we found some fairly neutral options, fun colors and vibrant prints are always welcome for vacation clothing. Swim coverups can be a variety of different options ranging from knit dresses to pants, skirts or even one pieces. Pair them with tank tops and flip flops and you are set for a day at the beach! Go for what you will get the most wear out of because if there’s anything you can repeat on a vacation, it’s your coverup and pool shoe. You’ll be in your swimsuit the entire time, these are just the pieces that help transport you from the room to the outdoor space in style.
Midi Dress
Secondly, I love good midi dresses. Of course, mini dresses are always fun on vacation too but the midi or flowy maxi dresses are pieces I actually find to be the most flattering. They also look adorable with a lightweight sweater or denim jacket for a date night both on vacation and in the summer. Our favorite way to dress up on vacation is simply with a dress. The best part is they can be daytime outfits that easily take you into the night. Dress them up with lightweight jackets and your go-to accessories or even if it’s a cooler day, these still work. They’re the perfect last minute look, too because they are just one piece to style!
Accessories
Finally, you know we are accessory people. We can’t leave the house without some fun pieces to elevate our looks. For this, we are leaning more towards a straw hat, cute bags and stunning sandals. We’re getting excited for the upcoming warm seasons with all of these pieces. For our next trip, we will be doing a lot of outfits that we plan on carrying into the next couple of seasons so our outfit ideas are really getting planned out. In our opinion, the most fun way to dress up any look is with the perfect purse!
