Spring Break Packing List

Spring break is calling, and this year we’re packing with one clear vibe in mind: effortless resort wear that works for both moms and teens. Think breezy silhouettes, polished but unfussy pieces, and outfits that go from poolside to dinner without a full costume change. We want to feel comfortable, confident, and camera-ready, but still like ourselves. This spring, we’re packing a beach bag for our spring break travel essentials and looking at beach vacations.

Here’s exactly what we’re packing for a chic, sunshine-filled spring break.

Lightweight Dresses

Nothing says spring break like an easy, throw-on-and-go dress. For moms, we’re packing flowy midi dresses in lightweight cotton, linen blends, and soft gauze. A neutral-toned shirt dress works perfectly for breakfast by the beach, while a bold tropical print maxi makes dinner feel special without trying too hard.

For teens, we’re loving shorter sundresses with fun details some with smocking, cut-outs and florals. A white eyelet mini is a must. It looks fresh against a tan and works with everything from sneakers to strappy sandals.

Matching Sets

Matching sets are the ultimate resort hack. They look intentional but take zero mental energy to style. Moms are packing wide-leg linen pants with coordinating cropped tanks or lightweight button-downs. They’re breathable, flattering, and can be mixed and matched all week long.

Teens are all about crochet sets, terry cloth shorts with zip hoodies, and colorful printed skirt-and-top combos. They’re fun, photo-friendly, and easy to dress up with gold hoops and platform sandals.

Swimwear

We’re prioritizing swim that feels supportive and stylish. For moms, that means one classic one-piece  and one elevated bikini with structure. A chic sarong or pareo instantly elevates the look.

Teens are packing bright bikinis, textured fabrics, and maybe one sporty suit for activities. We’re loving color-blocked styles and subtle shimmer fabrics that catch the light without being over the top.

Cover-Ups That Double as Outfits

Cover-ups shouldn’t feel like an afterthought. Moms are bringing oversized linen button-downs, crochet midi dresses, and lightweight kaftans that can go straight from beach to lunch. The goal is effortless polish.

Teens are opting for crochet minis, oversized graphic tees over swimsuits, and flowy wrap skirts. Bonus points if it works with both flip-flops and sneakers.

Versatile Shoes

We’re keeping it simple. Each of us is packing and we’re trying to stick to three pairs max.

  • Neutral slide sandals for the beach

  • A dressier strappy sandal

  • Comfortable sneakers for travel days and exploring

Beauty and Extras

We’re keeping beauty streamlined: tinted moisturizer with SPF, hand sanitizer, cream blush, lip balm, waterproof mascara, and a good hair oil for post-pool frizz. A claw clip and a sleek bun solve almost everything.

For both moms and teens, the real packing rule this year is intention. Every piece should mix and match. Every outfit should feel easy. Spring break style isn’t about overpacking, it’s about choosing versatile resort wear that lets you relax, explore, and soak up the sun without thinking too hard about what you’re wearing.
