Ranking Our Favorite Wrapping Paper for the Holidays

The holiday season is upon us and we are on the hunt for the best wrapping paper. Wrapping gifts and making gift boxes is something I actually look forward to. I find that time to be therapeautic and a great time to sit and feel grateful for everything in our lives. It’s quiet time to myself while I put together the family holiday gifts to go under the Christmas tree. I’m not a pro but I have used several types of wrapping paper and I judge them all by how easily they trim, fold and of course, the stunning design options. These are our favorite holiday wrapping paper options for all special occasions this season.

Firstly, a lot of people don’t think about this but wrapping paper can get pretty expensive. You want to make sure you are getting the best bang for your buck and that will come with the amount of product you are actually getting in the roll. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been obsessed with beautiful wrapping paper and there’s not enough square feet for the festive designs. It’s safer to go for more product although if you know you are getting Christmas gifts that are on the smaller side physically and won’t need too much, then go for the high-quality paper with the playful prints. Holiday gift wrap essentials generally are best in the most length of product you can get for the price point.

Shop by Design

Secondly, my eye catches the designs and I can’t be stopped! There are so many fun choices these days and a lot of options are actually reversible patterns. Some gift recipients can get one design while the other gets the other side of the reversible wrapping paper. The Paper Source, Container Store and Rifle Paper Co. are all really popular options for the best holiday elegant designs. I’m sourcing options from all price points for the different patterns and simple designs this year. Each year, I stick with one perfect wrapping paper and while this is all down to personal preferences, I do tend to go for a pop of pink for Christmas morning. Holiday shopping is starting to happen and I try to wrap gifts as I go to keep track of everything and stay organized.

One site I’ve been loving lately is Happy Wrap! You can totally customize your gift wrapping options to add photos and it’s a really cute way to personalize your holiday season. Use my code: STROLLERINTHECITY for 10% off!

Shop by Theme

Finally, I always try to stick with a theme. While I do a festive touch with shades of pink typically, festive wrapping paper can come in so many different unique patterns and friendly options. High-quality wrapping paper will be your best friend here because that won’t tear while you’re trimming it. Moreover, metallic and non-metallic wrapping paper options are available depending on what you want to go for in terms of a theme. Some love all gold, some like to go for a traditional red and green. Try adding in a pattern option to make the gifts pop and stand out more under the tree. Bows and finishing touches take the gifts to the next level, especially if you’re bringing them to a holiday party!
