To begin with, the 2019 Range Rover is the perfect size for city, suburb, or rural living. It comfortably seats five and has a ton of space in the trunk area for luggage, camping gear, or just groceries. It’s big enough for trips while also being small enough for city life, which we love.
The Range Rover PHEV is also super luxurious. Of course, it features the iconic exterior Range Rover design with an updated, smoothed-out aesthetic that keeps the Range Rover tradition going strong and also keeps it modern – something this fashion girl loves. The interior is a thing of beauty, both literally and figuratively. The center console display offers easy control of everything from the three-zone Climate Control to the Meridian Sound System, featuring 13 speakers including a dual-channel subwoofer. That’s in addition to all the standard features we’ve come to expect from any vehicle these days like Bluetooth connectivity.
While we’re talking about luxury, I can’t forget the seating. The 16-way heated front seats – in Grained leather, I might add – feature passenger memory and 4-way manual headrest for ultimate comfort. The rear bench seat is also super comfy and features manual recline, so everyone in the vehicle can be comfortable no matter how short or long the drive.
Safety is another big concern for me and my husband, and we love that the Range Rover PHEV is just as concerned about it as we are. The vehicles premium LED lighting for the ultimate in night visibility. In addition Daytime Running Lights are standard, and all lights are designed to last the lifetime of the vehicle. The rearview camera allows for superior visibility, and its static lines overlayed on the image make it super easy to park in tight spots, another plus when you live in the city like we do.
Finally, we come to what everyone needs to know when it comes to any hybrid: gas mileage. The Range Rover PHEV offers impressive gas mileage for a vehicle that has 398 horsepower. Its hybrid technology allows for 22 mpg in the city, 28 mpg on the highway, and a combined 24 mpg. That’s excellent gas mileage, especially for a vehicle like this.
We were incredibly impressed with both the mileage and how seamlessly the engine transitioned from gas to electric. The Range Rover PHEV was designed with performance and function on every level, including the engine. While in gas mode, the engine operates incredibly quietly, and when it switches to electric, it operates silently. When combined with its interior design, the experience is a smooth, almost silent ride no matter what mode the vehicle happens to be in.
My husband and I loved the Range Rover PHEV. The kids did, too. Even navigating and parking in the city was easy thanks to the Rover’s ideal size and its parking assist overlay. If you’re in the market for a vehicle that is both the height of luxury and performance, I can’t recommend the Ranger Rover PHEV highly enough.
