Mommy Daughter Day

The frigid temps last week did not stop Siella and I from having a mommy daughter day. Every Tuesday, I make it a point to take Siella to her beloved ballet class. It is my favorite part of the week being able to watch the cuteness in this ballet room (click here for pics). After ballet class we usually grab a bite to eat and head home; but this particular Tuesday, I decided to change things up a bit and take her for a manicure and pedicure at Eden Day Spa.

Eden Day Spa is located in North Tribeca, and is a full service spa. Services include: manicures, pedicures, facials, waxing, massages, and even ear candling. I recently heard about their mother daughter packages and I thought this would be a fun day out for us. We were first escorted to their lower level where we were able to get cozy on their oversized arm chairs and ottomans. The spa offered us little plates of fruit and crackers as well as apple juice for the little miss. Siella was fascinated with dipping her little toes in the rose petal water.

I loved the fact that Eden Day Spa uses a new plastic lining for each pedicure, ensuring that everyone has the cleanest and safest experience. The room is dim lit and will immediately put you in relaxation mode. In fact, Siella was so relaxed she actually fell asleep in their big plush chairs. While there are no dryers and we had to wait for our paint to dry, but I did manage to squeeze in a mini massage. I didn’t experience a full body massage, but I am looking forward to going back and even experiencing a couples massage with Jason.

Overall, it was the perfect day and Siella fully enjoyed her “first” real pedicure. It was a really special experience!
