With Labor Day weekend around the corner, I’m shopping around for some outfits for the kids! A lot of these items are pieces that can be transitioned into the fall or staples that can be saved for vacations or special occasions during the school year. Labor Day sales have already begun for kidsโ clothing, which is great for back to school shopping, as well! Kids clothes can be difficult to shop for sometimes simply because they outgrow everything so quickly! I’ve been looking into select styles as well as new arrivals and sales for this shopping hunt! Here are some things I like to take into consideration while shopping and a few items I have in my shopping cart!
Swimwear
I know the summer will be over by the time Labor Day weekend arrives, but it’s never too early to stock up on swimwear that’s on sale for the next year! We also like to have new swim items for trips we plan throughout the school year. Most of the time, we spend the holiday weekend similar to Memorial Day at the beach or by a pool, so normally our go-to fashion is centered around swimwear for the long weekend!
Comfort
It’s a long weekend full of activities in the heat! The most important thing to me is that my kids feel comfortable. Especially with going in and out of the water, we normally tend to stay away from items such as kids’ jeans just to avoid chafing from the water and heat. Lightweight options such as linen or thin cotton are our favorites for summer. T-shirts in bright colors are always a fun option, as well!
Nicer Options
If you have parties to attend that require nicer options, I’ve found a few items below to shop! Special occasion dresses can include choices that can be dressed down, as well, like a basic white cotton dress. Those never go out of style!
