Invisalign Update: The Journey Continues

Invisalign update, everyone! As most of my readers probably know, I’ve been using Invisalign through Park Avenue Orthodontics for several months now, so I thought I would give all of you an update. As I mentioned in my last post, I had noticed a shift in my lower teeth, and that began to cause issues with my upper teeth due to excessive grinding. My orthodontist recommended correcting my teeth to make my bite uniform and remove my teeth issues.

At first, I was hesitant. I knew I needed to have my teeth corrected, but I didn’t want to go the traditional braces route. They just look so uncomfortable! Of course, I immediately thought of rubber bands, retainers, and all the other things I saw kids wearing when I was in school. Luckily, my orthodontist stays up to date on all the advancements in orthodontic care, and he recommended Invisalign.

The process was as simple as getting 3D imaging of my teeth, getting my trays, and beginning my Invisalign process. I’ve been using the Invisalign system since just around the first lockdown went into effect, and over the course of these weeks, I’ve seen a real transformation. My teeth look so much better. My bite feels better. In addition to that, the discomfort was extremely minimal. I had heard horror stories of how painful the realignment process was with braces, and Invisalign does away with that almost completely.

I just had a check up over at Park Avenue Ortho, and I’m happy to report that things are moving along as planned. They gave me enough trays to last for the next three months, and we had an appointment via zoom half through to check on the progress. My self-care is always limited given the fact that I could never get myself to doctors appointments, so I cannot tell you how extremely helpful this is!

My smile is the best it’s ever been in my entire life, and I love knowing that now my teeth won’t be negatively impacted by my previous issues any longer. That gives me so much peace of mind because I was very worried about what would happen if I didn’t get my teeth corrected.

This has been the best experience I could have hoped for, and it’s all thanks to Park Avenue Orthodontics and Invisalign. That’s my Invisalign update! If you live in the area and need orthodontic help for you or a family member, I highly recommend Park Avenue Orthodontics.
