New York City has so much to do at all times that it can feel like serious FOMO (fear of missing out) if you don’t get out there and witness it all! Just because it’s getting colder out, it doesn’t mean that we have to stay in our apartments all day! I’ve found some of the very best things to experience this month and it’s all readily available for friends and the whole family to enjoy! It’s a big month with holidays and it’s also that time of the year where we show our loved ones how much we care about them. A lot of people’s love languages are quality time and what better way to spend time together than at a unique experience?! New Yorkers and those visiting town, you’ve come to the right place to find out what’s happening in the big apple!
Here are all of the upcoming events to check out this month in NYC!
Rollerblading at The Edge
If you haven’t heard about Sky Skate, get out the door and go try it! The Edge has a roller rink– in the sky! You can roller skate with the best views in the city, which is even better because it’s cold out so it’s a nice indoor activity. They are open until March 14th and have a live DJ on Thursdays and Fridays! Tickets are available now!

Celebrate Valentine’s Day
Valentine’s Day is kinda all month long! As it should be! There really are so many things to do for Valentine’s Day, whether it be a nice dinner out on the town, going to the movies or even just staying in and enjoying time together! Little Italy has some of the best restaurants in town and of course, there are plenty of spots doing bottomless brunches for Galentine’s Day with friends! Eventbrite and SecretNYC always have the best finds once deals are released.
Celebrate Black History Month
It’s Black History Month! One thing that is incredibly important to do is reflect on the history of this country and continue to educate others on it. We have come so far, but we can always do better. Being allies and continuing to educate the younger generations are some of the best things we can do. Take time this month to donate to great causes, such as Prosperity Now or Bridges 4 Life . Another amazing way to celebrate the month is by supporting black businesses! I am obsessed with businesses such as Briogeo, Smash Shoes, The Grey available on Goldbelly and glassware from Estelle Colored Glass!

Winter Jam
We can still jam in winter! Central Park has a ton of activities at this free winter sports event. There will be ice carving, ice bowling, sledding, snowshoeing and so much more fun to be had! The winter season has a lot to look forward to and this annual festival being back is a part of that fun! It will be taking place February 4th from 11AM to 3PM.
Relax at the Polar Lounge
Take advantage of the winter months and spend it below freezing point– at the Polar Lounge! Located the 1 Hotel in Brooklyn, this rooftop bar is all ice! Harriet’s Rooftop is a great place to be and the skyline itself makes it worth while. Admission starts at $50 per person and has VIP options. With some of best drinks in town, you will not want to miss out on this pop up! Tickets fly for this event, as well, so plan a night with your friends and book it before it goes! It’s open Thursdays-Saturdays and closes on the 26th.

Enjoy a Date Night at Lavaux Wine Bar
Finally, I saw this online and could not resist! I’m planning the ultimate date night here this month and we are so excited! Located on Hudson Street, this bar not only has phenomenal cocktails, but the food is out of this world! They have fondue, raclette, desserts, boards and so much more! I love a good bite with cocktails and the atmosphere here is like nothing I’ve experienced. Book a reservation at this Switzerland-inspired spot.

I’m originally from upstate New York so I’ve made quite a few trips to the city. This is all great advice, I just advise my friends to never go in the winter (unless they want the lights and tree) because you never know if you’re gonna be stepping in a puddle that looks like snow lol.
Oh yes,it’s good to avoid the snow here!
So many activities! NYC is a happening place in February! Great list of activities.
