Customizing Safety { & Maxi Cosi Giveaway}

When I was pregnant with Ryder, I really thought we would need to get everything from my registry list in order for my baby to survive the first year. With those thoughts swimming through my head, I did what any new mom would do, and loaded up on what I believed were the essentials like a carseat, swing, and stroller; and the not so essentials like a wipe warmer, a swing and bouncer, along with way too many nursery accessories. About a week before Ryder was born, I looked around our tiny apartment, and with the addition of Ryder’s new things, I realized that we had a bunch of mismatched stuff, with harsh colors now added to our formerly neutral apartment. I wondered, since these little pieces of “furniture” would now part of our apartment’s landscape for years to come, why couldn’t I customize them to fit our decor. We wound up not using half the items and I will say baby gear aesthetics have come a long way since.

Maxi Cosi, a brand I’ve known and trusted for car seats and accessories for all three of my children, must have been reading my mind. I am thrilled to introduce you to Maxi Cosi’s Custom Program, which is a true game changer in the baby gear world. Adding to their longstanding commitment to safety and comfort, Maxi Cosi now offering style savvy parents the opportunity to choose the color combinations that best suit their infant carseat.

The program launched here in New York City at an event hosted by author and Today Show style editor Bobbie Thomas. As a mom to be Bobbie, a fashion guru, was thrilled to have the opportunity to choose colors for her own carseat, rather than settle for common car stock patterns. Guests designed their own seats during a custom-themed evening, which also featured personal fashion and makeup consultations, all in keeping with the growing trend toward personalized products and services.

The Maxi-Cosi Custom Program makes it fun and easy for parents to explore their inner designers, with more than 250 potential looks. Customers can opt for a black or white frame, and pick from an array of colors for their main seat cushion, large canopy, and cozi set. The Mico Max 30 is designed for rear-facing children from 4 to 30 pounds and up to 32 inches, and provides superior safety for baby with Air Protect Side Impact Protection and an anti-rebound bar. The Mico Max 30 is also the lightest premium car seat available, and fully compatible with strollers made by Maxi-Cosi, Quinny and other premium brands. Surprisingly, custom seats are hand-assembled and delivered within three weeks, with free shipping offered for a limited time.

Playing around with all the color combinations lots of fun.  I’m loving my custom seat so much, that it almost makes me want to have a fourth child!

Purple is my fav. color so maybe lavender and gray would be the colors I would pick for a custom made car seat! Thank you!!!

  3. Jessica Miller

I would get the black base, pink seat and canopy and purple insert. It would be so cute for our little girl due in July 🙂

  4. I would love to have a dark gray and purple car seat. We love pink in this house but I just think the purple would look so nice!

  5. Michelle Cartagena

I would def go with the seafoam green color, greys and white to stay gender neutral. All great colors

I would love the Gray Gravel Canopy and infant insert, with the Blue seat for my little guy!

  7. I would love the white base with the blue seat cushion and grey gravel canopy and insert. Still missing car seat for my little one fingers crossed!!

  8. I’m pretty basic-I’d go for some sort of black and gray combo with maybe a little red thrown in for fun!!

  9. Ohhh this is SO cool, thanks for the super sweet chance!

Black base, black canopy, grey seat, & pretty pink cozy! This would be perfect for our baby girl on the way & then easy peasy to buy a diff cozy insert for possible future baby boy) BUT real baby boys can rock pink too so ya know! Haha)

  10. for my little guy i’d probably have to go with a black outer shell, with a blue main insert and then the light gray accents.

I love the pink berry on the white base! My girl would be nice & cozy & SAFE, but also stylin’!

Honestly I find the choices pretty lacking when you want to be colorful but don’t want blue or pink. 🙁

I don’t like doing dark colors on a car seat due to the hot nature of a car. I’d go with the white frame, grey gravel main cushion, atlantis green cozy cushion and the blue base canopy just because I don’t really like the solid pink but want some color.
