Cruising Around NYC

This is a sponsored post. Thank you for supporting SITC.

I was recently looking through old photos, and a few that stood out to me was Ryder in his blue Step2 Push Car. This car went everywhere with us…to the laundry room, out to restaurants, playdates, and pumpkin picking one year. We kept this car for the girls to us too, and I even found a photo of Gemma riding in it during a snow storm a few years back. I actually have their car in storage saved because of all the amazing memories they had in it!

Push-cars help develop kids gross and fine motor skills, also hand-eye coordination, spacial awareness, balance and dexterity. Plus, my kids always loved the excitement of pretending to drive their own car. We tried out the newest Step2 push car with my niece. It felt bittersweet watching my now grown up kiddies pushing their little cousin in one. Emilia is not yet three years old, is that tender age where she feels confined in a stroller but her little legs still need to rest. The Step2 push car lets her feel like she is on a fun ride, but we can still give her a rest and get around the streets of NYC with ease.

The Step2 Company has really stepped it up with their new collaboration! They have partnered with the British luxury Sports and Supercar manufacturer, McLaren Automotive to launch the officially licensed Step2 McLaren 570S Push Sports Car! It is a toddler-sized push car version of the McLaren 570S. It fits kids from 18-48 months and has all of the little extras I absolutely love. Fun color, storage space, cup-holders, easy handling and sleek look.

I am not exactly car-curious so my automotive knowledge is limited to a few luxury vehicle brands. And for all us city parents who are more adept at driving strollers on a daily basis than cars, the name McLaren might not instantly bring to mind automobiles. But that might be because most parents can only dream of owning a McLaren. The McLaren Automotive sells road cars starting in the $300,000 range. One of the rare McLaren cars sold at a Sotheby’s auction for $13.75 million a few years back!

McLaren Automotive started in the 1960s making Formula 1 race cars and is currently one of the biggest names in motorsport. It only makes sense that they would partner with Step2 to make the coolest push car version!

The Step2 McLaren 570S has electronic engine sounds, so it is very cool for the kids. And it has a huge storage area under the seat along with cup holders for parent and child (there is even a slot for smartphone on the parent handle). The handle also folds down so you can store the car easily.

Step2 McLaren Push Car Review If you are salivating at the idea of driving a McLaren sports car…the wait is over. You can get behind the wheel (I mean handle) of your very own. The Step2 McLaren push car is available on Step2.com as well as other global retailers like Amazon for $79.99.

  1. What an awesome upgrade to such a classic toy! We love the Step2 brand and always appreciate their product quality and durability. I plan to put this bad boy on my 2 year old nephew’s Christmas list.

It is great to see the kids having fun! I don’t have young children anymore but I have a little 3 year old nephew that would love to have this. I’m checking this out and if it fits the budget, he’ll be getting this as his Christmas gift.

  3. I love it! It’s something that the kids will, without a doubt. I think it’s nice that they’re making them into little luxury cars! I’m sure the dads have no problem with getting that for their kids.

Your children are beautiful! I love that they enjoy playing together. The Step2 McLaren 570S push car would be perfect for my grandchildren. I love the storage under the seat so we can put snacks and a drink in there. The parent handle’s storage is a great idea too!

  5. I saw a McLaren in a parking lot the other day and almost wanted to take a picture. We’re not NYC so we def. don’t see those kinds of cars much (ever) on the streets. The little car is cute. 🙂
