Sneaker Society

I’m never quite ready to send the kids back to school come September, because the thought of letting go our schedule free, lazy summer days totally bums me out. That said, I do get excited for back to school shopping, well because I love anything related to fashion. Ryder, Siella, and Gemma really don’t need much for next semester, but new sneakers and backpacks are always a must.

Year after year, my go for back to school sneakers and shoes has been Rack Room Shoes. Rack Room Shoes provides fashion footwear and other school necessities to make it easy to check off all the to do items and get kids ready for their first day back! With latest trends and brand names my kids love like Adidas, Vans, Puma, and Nike, I’m always blown away that they offer affordable options for the whole family.

At this point, each of my kids have become quite vocal in their clothing and sneaker options, so I always make sure to give them some freedom in their fashion choices. Together, we scrolled through the Rack Room site. RRS offers such a great selection, I was happy with anything they picked out. And not until Gemma tried to select a beach pair of flip flops for her first day of school, did I need to step in for some persuasion.

Ryder chose the Nike Grade School Tanjun in grey and  Adidas Court Lite Backpack, which is right up his alley. He’s really into soccer lately and these kicks will be perfect for running around the playground during his school recess periods. And I know his backpack is spacious enough to fit all of his school and after-school items. Siella clicked on a funky pair of Vans Hi Tops and Varsity Aztec Backpack, which both complimented her sporty personality, since gymnastics and dance have been her universe, as of late. And for Gemma, my soon to be kindergartner, it was Adidas Baseline with rose gold stripes and a fun pink Sketcher’s Fuzzy Mini Backpack – its not really a backpack, but always loves a good bag. And her classic Adidas are perfect for dressing up and down! They were so excited about their new things that I may need to hide them until the first day of school!

I also love brands that give back and RRS also has a charity called Rack Room Gives that supports the local communities. Through Rack Room Shoes Gives, Rack Room Shoes is providing two ways during the Back To School season in which customers like you can support local fundraising opportunities and initiatives in their communities. The first one will be an online contest to find the nation’s Real Teacher of the Year. Parents are encouraged to submit a video or photo and short paragraph on why they think a teacher is deserving of the award – and encouraged a child/student to embrace Rack Room Shoe’s Back To School campaign message: Be You. And second, Rack Room Shoes will be hosting a fundraiser for its annual Shoes that Fit campaign. Through a partnership with national non-profit, Shoes That Fit, Rack Room Shoes has provided more than 250,000 pairs of shoes to children in need. All funds collected in stores and online remain local, benefitting children the communities where Rack Room Shoes stores are located.

Now that I’ve knock shoes and backpacks off our back to school lists, I can get back our awesome summer, before kindergarten, second grade and fifth grade get underway.

Your kids are adorable! We shop at Rack Room shoes too. I can always find something the kids like and will actually wear.
