We are a little less than a month away from the official start of fall. Before we know it, the holiday and winter season will be here! I find that taking my favorite pieces and adding accessories to them can actually level them up in matters of fashion. You don’t need a special occasion to dress up or try out new fashion trends. Check out my recent blog posts if you are looking for a fall trend to try out this season. Today, we’re talking all about accessories and which are my newest favorite finds for the changing weather. Accessories are a fun way to elevate any look and I’m excited to share these top trends with you today!
Transition Items
Firstly, when it comes to accessories, there are endless options. We have jewelry trends where you can opt for a colorful option or a simpler statement for everyday looks. Of course, sunglasses, scarves and hair accessories are the perfect way to express yourself, as well for the changing seasons. For example, scarves and hats offer complete protection from any colder weather, which we normally begin to get around October! Pieces that will take you from one season to the next, are some of my favorite things! Furthermore, a pair of shades that are neutral can be worn into your fall collection. Silver jewelry, felt hats and going for more neutral colors than bold colors are a few ways to transition into the new season.
Versatility
Secondly, trends come and go. I find that for my closet in particular, it’s best to opt for the items that I know I will actually get wear out of! Particularly, you know yourself better than anyone, and if you want to invest in fine jewelry or try a trend out for the first time, you should do that! Everyone deserves an extra dose of glamour, just go for the things that won’t collect dust in your closet! A great way to start is by taking a look at the items you already have and which you wear the most. Find accessories that go with those and will continue to go with pieces in the same style to keep up with more versatile options to try out this autumn.

Finally, there are dozens of micro-trends out there and it can feel incredibly overwhelming. New York Fashion Week will be coming up soon and that’s where we can find the main content for accessories that will be in later on this year. I try to pick one or two really trendy pieces to have in my closet and challenge myself to find new ways to wear them that feel more versatile. Trend are made to be fun, not stressful! They are also great ways to take your look to the next level and try new things that you maybe wouldn’t ordinarily wear. It’s so much fun and you will be surprised by how many compliments you can get on a look that takes you out of your comfort zone!
