I’m a girl that knows how to put together a dressed up look! When it comes to more casual outings, I find that I am spending more time trying to put an outfit together. We’re in the peak of fall season and I’ve had a lot of outings I’ve been putting cute fall outfits together for. These are items you will want to invest in for a fall wardrobe that are great for more than just this time of year. I wanted to put together looks in an easy way to pull together the perfect fall outfit. We will walk you through a few outfit examples for a great way to get into those fall fashion trends for casual fall outfit ideas.
Casual Date Night
The first outfit details I want to jump into for the autumn season are for a casual date night. I think a lot of us look at date nights as an excuse to dress up, which it totally can be! But let’s normalize a more casual fall look for a night out with your significant other. Look into your favorite pair of jeans dressed up a bit maybe with a black blazer and cozy layers.
Go for knee-high boots with a denim maxi skirt, brown belt and lightweight sweater. Great outfits are all about how you feel in them. Confidence comes from wearing a whole outfit you feel the most like yourself in. There are different ways to dress casually but in the fall months, I think it’s all about the layers for a more casual vibe.

Coffee Outing with Friends
Secondly, do you ever make coffee plans and have no idea what to wear? I’m guilty! Fall clothing is all about a chunky knit sweater, complementary colors and ankle boots. I know a lot of people like to go for neutral colors for a warmer look in cooler months. This is actually a great time to go for a fall color! Browns, oranges and reds are on trend during this time of year. Not only are they classic colors for the season, but they can be quite versatile pieces.
This is an opportunity to wear comfortable sneakers with a knit dress or a smart casual wardrobe with a trench coat to nail top trends. What I love about outings like this is that there are no rules for fashion. Take a look at the rest of your day and make a decision on what you want to wear for the plans you have surrounding this casual outing.

Running Errands
Finally, this is by far the most casual scenario to dress for but again, we all struggle with finding something that we just want to throw on! My personal style is full of matching stets and I find them to be must-have pieces. They are not only so easy to put on and grab a pair of shoes to run out the door but they make you look really put together. Another idea is investing in a capsule wardrobe with great quality basics. Nothing beats your favorite pair of jeans and a nice t-shirt. These can be affordable pieces, too! It doesn’t need to be a designer look to run out the door, but there’s no shame in that either!
